I am just trying to do my part to protect the forest. It is scary living up here with the conditions as bad as they are. We kring (spelling) every time there is lightning, There is nothing we can do about those kind of fires but pray. The human fires like the Promatory Really suck. That fire consumed over 4000 acres and to date cost over 4 1/2 millon dollars. The forest service will be on patroll and will be siteing anyone not following the restrictions. The fine is $5,000.00 and 6 mo. in jail. I just ask that everyone inform everyone they know that is headed out for the weekend just how bad it is. Thanks, Mike

I think that really depends on many factors If it is a new location then you may want to check it in a week so it could be moved or left there depending on the pictures you get. If it is a good spot that you think you want to hunt than leave it there for 3 to 4 weeks As the hunt gets close you may want to check it once a week to be sure the animals are still using the area. I have one out now that I will probably not move untill after the January archery hunt, Which is why I am bidding on more cameras on Ebay right now. I am checking this cam about every 3 to 4 weeks Hope this helps Mike

Tree Stands or Ground Blinds?
GameHauler replied to punkrcker1344's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
I use the little mushroom shaped cat heater Does not put out a lot of heat but you can warm your hands and I like the idea of a blanket. I will give that a try these little heaters make no noise so there great in a blind. Blinds do get pretty warm so for the early hunts I would use a tree stand -

Online Draw Applications Suspended
GameHauler replied to muskrat's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
My feeling to a tee Mike And you said it a lot better than I did on a previous post Look on the bright side, Your chances of drawing a tag just went up. GnF just got there way, Providing opportunity by lowering the amount of applicants I love it It hurts you guys this year that did not plan on having to come up with the money this year, But just save the money all year long for next year and do away with the online. My $.02 Mike -
The G&F spray the tags with bear repellant before selling them.

Tree Stands or Ground Blinds?
GameHauler replied to punkrcker1344's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
My $.02 I really like to hunt out of a tree stand because I can't hear @*&$ and it gives me a chance to see a animal coming in. But, I have a bad back and find it hard to sit still so the ground blind really works out better for me. I have had whitetail within 15 yards of me while sitting in a blind and have evan drawn my bow to see how they would react. Blinds are nice if the weather is on the crumy side. People swear by the double bull blinds but I use the Ameristep Brickhouse because it is alot cheaper and has worked just as well. Hope this helps Mike -

GameHauler replied to Lance's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
Just talked to C-n-S He was doing a lot of back steping. Just to busy to be able to make it. Lots of reasons but I think the true reason is he still has not bought a PSE -

Got a call from the G&F Dept yesterday. The lady wanted to know if I had made a mistake on my app. She asked if I wanted the Dec. whitetail hunt with only 50 permits instead of the Oct. hunt which has 500 permits Oh, you mean the one that is at the same time the 500 Carp hunters will be out there? I told her despite what the commissioners think, hunters want Quality, NOT opertunity. She got a good laugh out of it too. Hey, at least they called. Mike

I would look for a mom and pop detailer. Small business should take pride in what they do. If you take it to a RV Place better have the bed of your truck full of $100.00 bills I understand all the RV dealers in the valley have shop rates over $100.00/hr now. Unless you have the old Dexter style wheels what about finding wheels with a bigger offset so the tires won't rub. Mike
