The arrow shows where the cable is to be routed into the cealing. so they forgot to run the cable or the antenna was added latter. I carefully use a putty knife to remove the old sealant. I would not reseal anything that does not look bad. As you are learning, the construction standards are alot lower in the RV industry. You may want to take a look at using a decoritive board behind the towell bar ect. to allow you to hit a stud. Mike

I dont think it is leaking around the antenna and yes that is Dicor sealant. I would think the leak is coming from the fridge vent. As far as a cover, You are going to pay at least $400.00 for a cover. The cost of a replacement awning fabric is $200.00 The roof vents cost about $12.00 and your busted fridge vent is only about $14.00. So you could replace everything twice for about the price of a cover. And they are a pain in the butt to put on and off. Mike

The cable should only go down thru the roof under the base plate. It goes to the main living area and then splits to provide TV to the bedroom. It sounds like you may have the right stuff to seal the unit but I would still strip it off and reseal it with DICOR. All you need is a bead to seal the roof to the edge of the base and a little to seal the screws. I am seeing more and more of the factory flunkies using way to much sealant. When you get done doing that little reseal job, would you please let me know how much time it took you? thanks, Mike

We have a NEWBIE who thinks she can handle all the heat we can throw at her. I hereby grant permission for everyone to show a young lady that she does not know it all and her Poop does stink. (except you Casey) Have fun guys

Well first of all, the wire should have been run down right into the roof under the base plate for the antena. Thats sounds like they forgot to install it at the factory, or caught it after the fact. Second, it sounds like way to much build up of sealant and the water may get high enough to overflow up to the point that it is running down the rotate shaft. You said silicon?? What type of roof is it? Rubber, Fiberglass, Metal? It should be rubber on that unit if I remember right. Let me know the type of roof and type of sealant. I think I would strip all the sealant off and reseal it with the right stuff. Keep in mind that the leak could be anywhere and travel to that point before it drips into the camper. Mike
