Larry and Bill, I will not even begin to takes sides on this I am not saying anything bad about processors but The only way to feel you got every piece of meat you can is to do it yourself. I know that it is ALOT of work and if you do not know how to cut meat you can end up with some of the toughest steaks you have ever eaten. Anyone who has guestioned what they got back, I ask that you try doing it yourself once. It is like trying to do ANY job that you do not have the tools for or the knowhow to complete. When I moved out of the Valley I lost all the eguipment and walkin that made butchering easy. I have since gotten a good grinder and am looking to upgrade my saw. I also have in the works a small walkin to handle about 2 Elk. Any one got a good saw for sale? I hope this all works out on both sides. Mike

Well, I just got off the phone with FirstGirl and it looks like Old Pops get to stay home this weekend She has made plans to go hunting with friends this coming weekend Guess the Old Man may as well curl up by the fire place and grab an old Zane Gray book and spend some time with my wife NOT!!!!! Someone has to have a hunt they need help with Please Just kidding. This is all apart of hunting We teach them everything we can and then let them learn more on their own and with others. I have NO problem with this and if you think I will be laying in bed waiting for a call, YOUR WRONG I will be out there in a differant location glassing my butt off, And if I find a good buck and can bed him down I will use one of those electogigamits that Lark talks about and let FirstGirl know what I have found This is GREAT No canyons to hike No trailing a iffy hit No gutting No packing Could it get any better???????????? I hope this does not turn into a huge GF bashing topic. I think they do a pretty good job all in all when it comes to the draw. Alot of you are upset because they stoped the online App. They had the forsite to stop a major catastrophe. No system is without problems. And no I do not think anyone has seen a draw being done since you can not crawl into a computer. Mike

A few years back my Daughters and were not drawn for Turkey. I looked at the left over permits and there were tags avalable for our first and only choice. I called GF about that and they said those tags came from people who where drawn but their credit card did not work so they put those permits into the leftovers instead of redrawing them. I was not happy about that either. Mike

Not on my Coues properties but I do have a beautiful ranch that is high in the mountains with tons of un-hunted birds! I think we may just hunt it this year and guide/outfit it next season....we'll see.
