That's exactly why I can't eat them! Bummer too because they were fun to hunt.

I was going to post the thread I started with the same questions....but somebody beat me to it. I went with the straight and so far am happy that I did. I think it's easier for what I do which is spot the animal with my binos and then switch over to the spotter for a closer look. It's also been pretty easy to get my phonskope attached to it for video and pics .

Basser15 replied to WHT_MTNMAN's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Mexico
Congrats once again! You will get that Monster you are after someday soon....but until then shooting coues that are just shy of 110 isn't all that bad And I"m glad we could help encourage you to pull the trigger.... -

Hey guys. I'm prepping for the buffalo hunt and heard that there is a North Kaibab water hole book that is available from Jacob's Lake Lodge. Any of you have the book and would be willing to let me borrow it for a bit? Or does anyone know a way to get it before heading up there? Thanks in advance.
-
Probably not. I'm going to take it with me to see how the hunt pans out but I have a Goulds tag as well this Spring too on the opposite end of the state...
-
Awesome...thanks guys! Hard to believe the hunt is already going. Once I get back from Mexico next week it will be time to switch gears and figure these things out

I've had an interest in reloading for some time now but have zero experience and really don't have anyone around me that could teach me what I need to know. For those of you with some experience in the subject do you have any specific book that you would recommend that would cover the basics and get me started? Thanks in advance.

Recommended Books for Reloading
Basser15 replied to Basser15's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Thanks guys....that's good information. MULEPACKHUNTER, I live in the NW Phoenix area and this Spring if we could find a day or two to meet up I would greatly appreciate it. Maybe I can read as much info as I can before then so I have at least a little bit of an idea as to what questions I should be asking. -
Big thanks to my friends Ron and Tyler for coming out and hunting with me this past weekend. It started off a little rough but it turned to be a great time and was able to bring home a great deer in the process. He taped out just over the magic number at 100 3/8"

Thank guys! Heat, it has been a great year for sure! Also got to help a buddy smack another great buck last weekend and hopefully he will be sharing some pics on here soon. My good luck is also rolling in to the Spring as I will be chasing Buffalo and Goulds this next season.

Sweeet!!! Congrats.

Anyone seen their Spring tags in the mail yet? Just got back in to town and was expecting to see them in my mailbox by now since they were supposed to have been mailed out by the 21st. Just double checking.
-
What you guys prefer in a spotter? Which do you think is better for digiscoping? Looking forward to your pros and cons for both.
-
Well.... Looks like a drew a pig tag.....a Goulds tag.....and a Buffalo tag! Going to be a little busy the Spring....
-
Thanks guys for the comments. I will be mainly glassing with my 15's and the using the spotter for a closer look and use my phoneskope on. Has anyone had any issues using the digiscoping devices on a straight eye piece?
-
Apparently I'm headed buffalo hunting.
-
Thank you. And same here....Ron's was obviously very excited for you and your buck this season. Hopefully we will be able to meet and I can learn some glassing tips from you one of these days.

Was just talking to my buddy over the weekend while hunting down south and realized that the Carhartt's I was wearing were almost 10 years old and I've had them on for all but one of the whitetails I've killed.

Clay at Mogollon has done most of my deer and is awesome. I've also had one done by Weller's down in Tucson and he was very impressive as well.

I just started using Denmark's and they are really good. West of I-17 on maybe Dunlap?? I'll have to look it up. You would have to bone the meat out though http://denmarkfoods.com/
