It was great meeting you guys as well. Nothing like roughing it in camp either.... Think that spot looks familiar to a lot of people....
-
I've tried that too on accident.....no luck there either!

Good work on the pigs, and I agree that you should leave the arrow in the skull!

Congrats again buddy, I've know how hard you've worked at this and how much it means for you to get it done! You can also tell how excited you are do to the fact that you are actually smiling in a picture next to one of you own animals

This had a been a pet peeve of mine too on these types of forums. I like visiting them for ideas on tips and techniques...not as to where you are killing animals. If people want to tell you where they are hunting they will tell you in their initial write-up.

Sent my email and got an immediate response that my email would be held for the commission to look at. Hopefully that's true.

Thanks for your input. The hard thing for me to understand is that the average total percentage of the archery harvest rate is only about 12% higher than that of the first year mentioned, even with the abnormally high 2006 year. And until the department comes up with a steadfast way to get accurate accounting to compare the rates of harvest between rifle and deer hunters I don't think that it's just to find ways to help decrease the success of archery hunters. If archery hunters must report harvests then it should be mandatory for rifle hunters to report their harvests, that way the department can compare oranges to oranges. Unfortunately I cannot make the meeting but have found in the past that it does not seem to help since the department already has its mind set when they come into the meetings and are not ready to entertain open conversations.

Glad I could be there to see Bruce get his first bull. He was VERY excited about harvesting this animal. But next time I glass a hill and see my frame pack being taken up the mountain I'm going to pretend I didn't see a thing...

Christian, way to go on two fantastic bucks! Make sure you tell your dad I tell him congrats as well....I know both of you will remember this hunt forever. But I gotta ask, is your buck still growing? The text said he was 100 5/8 and in the thread he is 1/8 larger. Most deer shrink during the drying period...

Great job Cody! When I can finally draw that tag I'm taking you with me.....you won't have a choice!

Nice work. Were you close to the area that we were talking about last week? When it cools down we'll have to get out and chase those quail with my dog. -
Terrible to hear that someone snagged the horns on your buck, but I can't help but feel just as sick after reading about you guys peppering the hillside from 600 yards away just in hopes of hitting a deer.

What's the name of the RV place in the NW corner of 36A? I stayed there last year but for some reason can't remember the name of it and am having trouble trying to find it through google. Thanks for your help.
