Great service in flagstaff. Haven't been to the shop in Tucson yet but I'm sure I will soon.

I'm headed up next weekend as well. Let us know how it goes.

I'm in need of some help trying to find a place to live in Tucson. Ideally I would like to live up near Marana near the Ina or Cortaro Rd areas. I've had a heck of a time having people return my calls on properties or just anyone in general to help with my search. If you know of anyone trying to rent out a home or is in the business down there and is willing to help please let me know. I'm looking to rent a 2-3 bedroom place. Thank you for any help. Rob

Thanks Casey for the offer. Jon, I will be calling you today to find out some more details Tines, I'm looking to move next month but could stretch it out to July. For my new position we will be in New York for training the end of June and first week of July and won't be starting work in Tucson until the second week of July.

Three more lion skulls than I've ever found. Looks like it's been a great spring.

I'd hate to be the poor guy who would have to shave the area to clear room for the ink...

I need some advice for my 9 month old Lab pup
Basser15 replied to klrogers's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Sounds like you are on the right track with the obedience and it might just take a little more enforcement on the "here" command. I'm not the best at this and my lab still likes to wander and I know when it's coming too. He gets a certain look in his eye and at that point I know no matter what is said or done he is going for a run without me. I did have him collar conditioned and those "runs" never happen when the collar is on him so I know he understands what I'm telling him. With the Kennel you could try training for that just like you do for all the other commands. Give the kennel command and offer a treat in the kennel, or anytime your dog goes into the kennel without a treat still say "kennel" and then praise her for doing it. Hopefully at some point you will just be able to give that command and no matter where the pup is at she will know it is time to get in the kennel. -
Fantastic job on the bird. You have established one heck of an AZ hunting resume.

That's cool. So did your buddy have to use his bonus points since he got his tag after the fact?

Redman, here are the links to the extended reviews of the Eberlestock packs if you haven't seen them already. Included are pics of the packs in action so you can see how the fit and are used too. http://teamkendrickoutdoors.blogspot.com/2011/03/eberlestock-j104-pack-review.html http://teamkendrickoutdoors.blogspot.com/2011/03/eberlestock-x1a1-pack-review.html http://teamkendrickoutdoors.blogspot.com/2011/03/eberlestock-x2-pack-review.html

AWESOME! Thank you so much! No problem. If you can't tell, Ron is particular with his packs and has gotten some good use out of them. The matrix he put together was a way to help figure out which packs are best for each situation and help others with their purchases. Hopefully you got a chance to check out some of the individual reviews he did for some of the main packs where he went into more detail about them.

When is the window to buy reservation turkey tags?

You should check out the Pack Matrix Ron G put together. It compares all the Eberlestock packs and some others. http://teamkendrickoutdoors.blogspot.com/2011/03/confessions-of-pack-junky-pack-review.html You can also see some more in detail reviews of each packs individually if you go to the main blog.

Congrats on the bird! Fantastic quick hunt

Congrats on the tags and I guarantee you every day you spend in the field scouting and on your hunt you will learn something new. For calls, grab several of the Primos calls and several mouth calls and practice in the car whenever you're driving somewhere. If you can make a mouth call sound right then it can be an effective tool...although I've never been able to make one sound right. That's why I stick with the Primos hyper lips. As for videos, check out the Extreme bulls series and especially some of the newer ones as they will show a little more about the calling and talk about set ups. But trust me, it doesn't always happen as easily as they make it look in those videos. As others have mentioned spend as much time as you can scouting and getting to know your unit. There have been some nice bulls taken out of that unit but you will need to do your homework and figure out where the bulls are hanging out and where theyre headed to bed during the day. Also a good elk hunting website to check out for calling and techniques would be elk101.com
