My dad is an audiologist also. He told me one of the bigest issue he has with patients is that they sometimes have unreal expectations. You will never hear as good as you did before and some people get tiered of it and end up putting the hearing aid in some drawer were it does them no good.

I'm starting to think of all the stuff I will need to do before my cow elk hunt and the first thing is a new set of one dozen arrows. I currently use PSE carbon force Ravens 300, which they don't make anymore, but I've realy liked them and am planning on staying with the carbon force arrows, either the STL hunters or predators. I would realy like to try blazer vanes and my question is for all you who use blazers do you have a twist in the vanes or just have strait vanes. I've read that a twist is not needed but it seems like to me a twist at least wouldn't hurt. Any advice?

For those of you who shoot with blazers do you have wraps or not. I kind of like not wraps. is there a big difference in visibility of the arrow in flight?

Adictions are a tuff thing to overcome! You can't convince him to quit, all you can do is love him, doesn't sound like thats in issue, and hes got to want it for himself. Prayers for you and your wife and Scott.

My brother, a non-hunter, just had a boy last month and they named him Easton. Can't get it out of him wither they named him after the arrows or the baseball bat.

I think I know the unidentified "researcher" mentioned in the Star article. If I am guessing correctly, the young man is not a "bad member" and would have no agenda other than believing that more should be known about jaguars in Arizona. If he were fired because of this, it would be a great loss to Arizona's wildlife and those who hunt it. Bill Quimby +1, no one should be fired over this. prodicall was followed and if someone ends up being fired its peerly due to political reasons

First off thats for all you comments. rtkemp, yes the hunters and predators are alot like the ravens. the predators are just a little more strait then the hunters but you know I'm no robin hood so i figure i wont be able to tell a difference between the two. Just comes down to how much you want to spend. As far as the blazer vanes I've herd a lot of good things about them and that the work well with fix blade broadheads and I would just like to give them a try.

IHunt2live replied to swcouesfanatic's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Not sure. I think i might have come up with a score just under 80 inches but I have zero trust in my scoreing abilities. -
If you shoot the bow well don't change anything, thats just me

I hope no one thinks I'm being preachy or anything, just trying to have an adult conversations and awsering some questions. We believe that God the father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost are three distinct beings. few References (Acts 7:55, 1 Corinthians 11:3, Mathew 3:16-17) We also believe that you must confess your sins, be baptized but you must also “endure to the end”. few references(Mathew 16:27, Romans 1:18)

I always have and will always be a "mormon" and I’ll never apologize or try to justify our beliefs. I want to thank those on this site who are being respectful about this topic. I think it is interesting how the topic of the mormon church can raise such a hot discussion but it is what it is. I’m sorry for those of you who feel that the mormon church tries to push our beliefs down your throat, especially those pesky missionaries which I was one and proud of it but we feel strongly about our beliefs and want to share it with others. I for one will not push my beliefs on anyone but if you want to know more I’ll tell you but I respect you if you respect me. Back to the original topic I would like to add that that show is ridicules and I hope you see that we view is as disrespectful because its not the “mormons” though that’s the way it comes across. I personally view it as an attempt to insult a way of life regardless of my religious beliefs. I have to compare it to all ours passion of hunting. I feel that hunting is a part of who I am and when someone attacks our passion I take offence and we all get up in arms when they do. I guess what I’m trying to say is that don’t make conclusions without understanding all the fact and for goodness sake lets all have a little respect regardless of our differences. And thanks you all for being respectful.

I've kept my old bow around thinking I'll keep it for a backup but I think I should just let it go. its a PSE thunderbolt LC. 60lb max, I think it might be a 30 inch draw but ajustable. Its a great shooter but probably needs a new string. let me know if your interested I think I might be just down the road from you.

This week was spring break from the UofA for me and what did I do, worked 75 hours in 7 days, most of that time was spent putting about 1500 miles on the work truck. Wednesday I had to run up to the white mountains and I was able to get out and hike some hills for a couple of hours before sunset. I was walking in the bottom of a draw for about a mile when I stumbled onto this bull at about 60 yards. He took off into the trees with his horns still attached, there was another elk with him that I didn’t get a good look at but I’m pretty sure it didn’t have any antlers and thought it was another bull, since it was with this one, but had lost his antlers. Walked around that area for a while with no luck. I was running out of light so I started to head back. I walked the same draw but up on the southern side for about 500 yards and this is what I found. Didn’t believe my eyes at first but there it was. It was just inside of the trees from small meadow. I looked into the meadow and didn’t see the other side so I started circling up higher in the trees. I was about to give up then walked on the edge of the trees on the other side of the meadow when I looked in the middle on the field and this is what I saw, must have been behind the tree when I first looked. I was pumped, not a monster but my first elk set, 2nd and 3rd shed, and a FRESH brown non the less.
