I have a cheep Stealth Cam that I got new off ebay for about $50. I like it for a few reasons, 1 its cheap so if/when it get stolen it wont hurt as bad, 2 its a 12v so I have it hocked up to a car battery, 3 uses the common/cheap compact flash cards. Nt the nices set up but it takes pics. Because I have it set up with a car battery right by my father-in-laws cabin I have it up year round. Sure you might not get good pics of bucks but theres plenty of other animals. got a pic of a lion and I know there was a bear in that area since I last check it so we will see if I cought him. I think we will be using some at work this summer, a brand I never herd of. I'll see how they work and let you all know.

Saw a sticker this evening at Wrightstown and Camino Seco. Older red truck didn’t notice the make, sticker was on the windshield. Was driving my wife’s car you wouldn’t have noticed me. Who was it.

Casey, Are you gunna bring your banjo? If you want a banjo there I'll get my dad to tag along and he can bring one of the four he has. I'm not kidding either. I'm not sure whats worse, the fact that he has that many or that he acualy plays them.

Well said tjhunt2. We have to remember that the G&F does more then just the hunting and fishing regulation. Sure its a big part but not all they do. We all are feeling the hurt at the gas pump and so are they. I hate to see the prices go up but thats life. They don't have it easy. Think about all the flack they get when they are trying to take a problem mountian lion away from schools and all the tree huggers are trying to stop them. happened in Tucson. Or when people cry and make it difficult for them to remove problem bears. When they can't take care of the problem becouse of all the issues and the bear hurts someone and they get sued for "not doing anything". I've said it before but while I worked up in Utah I learned alot about their Division on Wildlife and I'm greatful we don't have to deal with that here in AZ. I just got an internship with the G&F for this summer and I'm looking forward for working for them and learning a bit more from a different point of view.

I would also like one, demeding on how affordable affordable is. I think placing it on a small base would be neat but I think it would be a good idea to offer them plan as well. -
Thanks for the info Jim it was very intrusting. I just hate how there is no 10 day/two weekend hunt. Mike Richins

A friend just sent me this. I thought it was a good laugh. New element discovered! Research has led to the discovery of the heaviest element yet known to science. The new element, Governmentium (Gv), has one neutron, 25 assistant neutrons, 88 deputy neutrons, and 198 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312. These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons. Since Governmentium has no electrons, it is inert; however, it can be detected, because it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact. A minute amount of Governmentium can cause a reaction that would normally take less than a second to take from four days to four years to complete. Governmentium has a normal half-life of 2- 6 years; It does not decay, but instead undergoes a reorganization in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places. In fact, Governmentium's mass will actually increase over time, since each reorganization will cause more morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes. This characteristic of moron promotion leads some scientists to believe that Governmentium is formed whenever morons reach a critical concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as critical morass. When catalyzed with money, Governmentium becomes Administratium, an element that radiates just as much energy as Governmentium since it has half as many peons but twice as many morons.

Well its been a while since I've see any trail cam pics. Any good ones you all haven't posted yet. I know this isn't the time of year for them but I've got my still set up at my father-in-laws cabin. I think it will end up being there most of its life now, he loves to see what comes in. We have it hooked up to a car battery and I have two flash cards for it so I think we are all set up for this summer. We just got about 40 pics of cyotes, birds, does, and even a snake in just one week. NO bucks have come in though I thought that was intrusting. Here is the only pic worth showing. What do you all make of the scarse? run in with a lion? I guess I will share this one to. Its the herd of pigs that is always by his place and one of them was the pig I shot in January (which put me in the Bowhunting in Arizona record book..... tied for 259th I believe. )

Flash, you might want to get your facts straight before you start spouting off. GC has the most active fire use program in AZ. They also have one of the most active prescribed fire programs. There's a reason the Kaibab on the north rim has combined fire management with the park. Any fire that close to developed areas is not a great candidate for fire use, especially with the forecasted wind they recieved. I agree there needs to be more fire on the ground, but most fires in PJ just end up turning into a giant cheat grass patch that makes terrible wildlife habitat. Look at most of northern Nevada and around Caliente, it's hurt the deer, quail and most everything else. I haven't spent much time up in that area but is there realy cheat grass up there? Its the sagebrush-grasslands that has problems with cheat grass. and regardless of a fire or not cheat grass will take over an area. Sure a fire might help it along but it takes over no matter what. The problem I've herd with PJ is that the junipers have taken over. To many trees means not enough forbs and grasses.

I finally broke down and got myself a new bow after shooting my old set up for about 10 years. It took finding a GREAT deal and a little convincing of my wife, she still hold it over my head though. Saved a few bucks and using my old sight and release for now. I'm looking at new releases and thought I would ask you all you opinions. What do you all use? I've been thinking about one with a cord so the release hangs free leaving an open hand for those hikes in rough areas. Thanks, Mike

I could give some info if someone draw in the Plateau, Boulder area. There are a TON of antelope around there. Its not know to hold a lot of monsters but there is sure a lot of nice ones.
-
I've never used one but I think they are a great idea. They will draw the bulls eyes way from you as you call and it might bring some of the bulls that hang up a little to far out in closer because they can see whats making that call.

Now I have done it..

Go to Harbor Freight Tools and buy one of their trailers with 12 inch tiers. Just stay below 15mph and avoid any bumps and it should suit you just fine. I'm sorry to make light of your situation. But I would agree with Casey, I don't think you could be disapointed with more room. -
I got a feeling this is going to be a nasty fight..... looking foward to it.

My father-in-law's property it pretty near that proposed mine. He was out there yesterday and said that it looked like they were drilling for core samples. I don't know why they would they know theres copper there. I'm not a big fan of the idea but I think its going to happen. These mines use SO much water compaired to demestic use. I don't understand why we are asked to watch our water use when operations like this use so much with little real thought to water conservation. I know for a FACT that peoples wells in that area have already gone dry becouse of other mining operations in the area. Its sad and its only going to worse if this mine goes up.
