I agree 100% with all the comments on Meoptas. I use Swaros now but I still have my Meopta 15's (Cabelas Euros). They served me well. I probably won't ever get rid of them. All I used was 10's on a tripod for a long time. I found plenty of deer with them. It wasn't until I started guiding that I really needed 15's and a spotter. I hiked a lot more when I used 10's... lol For a pack in hunt, 10's or 12's would be fine. I would add a small spotter but that's just me. I have a Vortex Razor 11-33×50 with the straight eye piece that weights nothing that I'll carry if I'm heading into some nasty stuff. I'm not a Vortex fan but that little spotter is perfect if you're concerned about weight. If you don't have them already, get you some good Trekking poles. They're a game changer when you're packing out meat.

If you're pack in hunting, I'd go as light as possible. Like firstcoueswas80 said, you're gonna end up wanting Swaros at some point so might as well start there if you can afford it. He's 100% right. My last pack trip was 7 miles into a desert wilderness. I was carrying enough for 7 days minus water which was packed in prior to the hunt. I had 8's on my chest and 15's and a spotter in my pack. There was no getting away from carrying all of it on that hunt but if I could have left anything behind it would have been the 8's and the spotter. 99% of your time will be on your butt behind glass on a tripod.

This is from my old account. I've been around here longer than you have. And if you're wondering why I created a new account, I just assumed my old one was deleted after not being around here for 5 years. Do a search for "Donniedent"... thats me.

2013 F-250 Crew Truck 6.7 power Stroke 45K miles what's a fair price ?
Desertguide replied to twistzz's topic in Classified Ads
I'll use your VIN# and look up the MMR on your truck and send you a PM on Monday. MMR is a market report. It will basically tell you what dealers paid last week for that same truck at auction. KBB, NADA and a few others are usually low and don't keep up with the market the way the auction reports do and they are definitely low on your truck right now. There's nothing wrong with charging fair market value and getting every penny for your truck you possibly can... regardless of what internet hunters say. Nevermind... you sold it.... lol. Congrats!!! -
I've always tipped but not much at all. Usually it's a keep the change kind of deal. Tipping is a weird deal anyway. I get tipped pretty well by my hunters. Very well in some cases. I've honestly never understood it for the same reasons Heat shared but I'll dang sure take it if it's offered!!! I do work my butt off for my hunters.

Lol.... you're like the guy that walks up after a bar fight gets stopped and starts swinging at people

That entire response to you was a joke Delw. Have a great evening.
-
You too man!!

I blew all my energy going back and forth with Curtis Reed. More wasted time arguing on the internet... lol. I don't feel like arguing anymore. Everyone have a great evening!!! I pm'd Curtis and apologized for my tone.

I NEVER SAID THERE WAS A LAW THAT THEY HAD TO!!!! THE POINT I WAS MAKING WAS ABOUT PEOPLE PROFITEERING DURING A CRISIS!!! APPARENTLY RETAILERS SAW IT THAT WAY TOO. WHY ARE WE YELLING? Delw, I'm not going to bother with details but we had a very trying experience. I shouldn't have to explain that situation in detail so I can live up to your expectations. Now... if you'll excuse me, I have to go hike a mile up hill both ways in the snow to get to my socialism class at school. 😉😉😉

It's all good!

Someone who is profiting off the misfortune of others during a crisis is a POS. It cracks me up that you keep going back to trucks and ammo. There's a HUGE difference between price gouging fuel during a fuel crisis and charging fair market value for a truck. There aren't states declaring a state of emergency because guys can't afford used F-250's Oh wait.. maybe I should run to the classified forum and post this where you MIGHT see it... lol. That was chicken sh!t man.
-
Then why is price gouging illegal? And explain this one to me... why did stores start limiting toilet paper, baby wipes and hand sanitizer to two per customer? What do they care who buys what and how many?
-
You should read the article he shared. Sounds like the gas station is being investigated. I don't know what to tell you. If you don't know the difference between charging market value and price gouging... any explanation I give for my comment will fall on deaf ears. I can only think of one type of person that would be offended by me calling hoarders POS's.
-
Hey man... if you're expecting a response you might have to check the Classified forum. Apparently he likes to make his passive aggressive responses there....? 🤷♂️
-
There's also a little thing called profiteering which is illegal. I wouldn't be surprised if the law went after that gas station. Edit: I posted before I finished the article.
