Samsung 52” HD LCD TV, about 12 years old. Comes with remote, stand (never attached), and manual. Only reason I am selling is the wife wanted a smart TV (don’t ask me why). Picture quality is excellent to me. Never had any problems with it. Asking $175 near 75th Ave & Broadway, Phoenix. Some spec’s below. Aspect ratio 16:9, Pixel resolution 1920 x1080, Contrast ratio 50,000:1, Response time 4ms, LED Sync rate 120Hz, picture in picture and two built in speakers. Model tag shown if you need more information.

Funny how things work out. My daughter just told me her tv died yesterday. She is getting a way better tv for free than the one she had...Prolly should charge a delivery fee though...

Be interesting to see what kind of velocities you get. Sub sonic with standard Ammo?

Need Marlin 336CS JM help!
Bucks&bulls replied to bowhunter-tw's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Did you use the solvent first? That would explain what is happening. I don’t specifically recall how you neutralize solvent but break free or WD-40 would probably do it. You want to get all the solvent off the blued surfaces then apply a thin coat of oil. I typically only use oil to clean and protect blued surfaces. -

Hoppes oil or Hoppes solvent? I am thinking that you are using solvent on the exterior of that rifle. Hoppes solvent is not recommended for blued gun surfaces. -

BTW, A buddy has a work sharp, tired it and I did not care for it one bit. No offense meant just my personal experience.

You can get by with a Lansky system, same principle IE: guide rod to align the stone. For the dollars they want for that “Wicked expensive edge” you could buy some killer stones and a dang nice knife to boot! Getting a good edge with stones is not really that hard to do. For a decent set to get you going, for less than a hundred dollars, I would go here https://www.sharpeningsupplies.com/Ultimate-Oil-Stone-Kit-P320.aspx. Four grits and a wood backed piece of leather with compound for a final polish. The polished edge makes a difference. I have a Lansky three stone system that was given to me 30 odd years ago that you are more than welcome to try if you want. I’m in SW Phoenix.

Just ran across this today. Borescope that connects to a computer, tablet or smartphone. Base model is on sale for $49.99. Looks like you need accessories to work with a tablet or phone. Has anyone seen one? https://endosnake.com

Boy can I relate. I just went through a 10 month billing dispute with insurance for, well, you know. Talk about adding insult to injury.

Thanks for the replies. This is not a must have but a would be nice type of thing. I would rather spend dollars on bullets and powder than something that might not meet my expectations.

Reason I asked is I wonder how the optical quality is on this. Do you mind sharing what you use? I have never used a bore scope, I thought using a battery powered bore light instead of a piece of white paper was hi-tech! 😆

I should have mentioned, any good tripod will work but it really helps if you can adjust the leg angle. First priority is good glass, second is a good tripod head and mount, third is the tripod. The head needs to be smooth. I use a Manfrotto tripod and head with the Outdoorsmans mount and stud.
-
You have been given some good advice here. You absolutely need the best glass you can get. If you can’t afford to buy new keep an eye on the classified ads on this and other sites. Good people on this site and some good deals on premium glass.

Selling two SLC mounts. One in good condition for $50 and one in very good condition for $65. I have 1 factory stud for sale for $5 with either mount and I will throw in a Swarovski Allen wrench. I am in the west valley and prefer not to ship.
-
I still have the mount in good condition for sale.

Good deal on the tool loan from MULEPACKHUNTER. I saw this thread last night and did some searching for a drawknife. If you decide you want your own, Rockler has a Two Cherries drawknife on their website for $69.99. If it is comparable quality to the Two Cherries chisels I have used it would be a good buy.

Do you have any other barrels?

How was that TC shooting for you? Any work done to it besides the muzzle brake?

One mount and the stud are spoken for

Great topic. Too bad I only have one old knife to share. Western Auto Branded knife I inherited from my father. Have no clue how old it is.
