Not sure what you're talking about there AZ Killer. The man is question is a retired full Colonel with over 20 years in the AZ Guard. How could he not be qualified for the tag? And besides, there is no check PRIOR to the draw that one is qualified for one of the military or DAV tags at CN. You have to prove your qual after you're drawn - and face big trouble if you are not. Regards, Rex

Not sure if this thread is still a good place to post this, but I just got a call from a friend who was very surprised to see the Camp Navajo Archery Cow hunt he had listed as his 5th choice on his app (and he got "pinked" - unsuccessful), listed on the leftover tags list. Since this thread has kind of morphed into a whine about the conduct of the draw this may be germane. He has the receipt and everything and it is cut and dried. His #5 choice that he was denied in the draw is now listed as a leftover with multiple tags. How's that work? Rex

My draw status updated to NOT DRAWN for both, but no species bonus point added yet. are others seeing the same?

Here's an unrelated question but I am new here and want to use the right terminology when posting. So both of these fellas above drew with "2 points." If, as I did for this elk draw, I have zero species points, 1 loyalty point, and 1 hunter ed point, would I be said to have "2 points", or "no points." I would understand it if the hunter ed and loyalty points are kind of assumed within a group of folks as dedicated as y'all, and you just count species points. Otherwise you'd always have at least 2 points. Is there a standard for how we state the number of points we have? I could see "total points" making more sense for comparing apples to apples on draw results, too, since a point is a point. Cheers, and congrats to those who drew! Rex

Just got a text from my buddy. His neighbor got hit this morning. So that post yesterday that they did not finish before quitting time and were going to continue this morning must have been correct. Still a blank for me though. Rex

Oops, missed one thing..."guys" Oh well, back to waiting for the draw.

But back to the previous subject - If in fact G&F really has already successfully run the draw, and has the results, and is just having a problem getting the cards run, why not at least inform the applicants of the results so they could get on with planning their lives, apply out of state, etc? Sure - don't mail out the tag until it's paid for - fine - but at least inform the participants. Make sense? Or maybe too much sense for that crowd? Thanks, Rex
