5 dry ground lion hunting dogs with chain link kennel. 2 well finished lion dogs purchased 4 years ago from a local government hunter. I have caught several lions with just these 2 dogs before. 1 is a small red tick w/ Catahoula and the other is a med sized red tick cur cross, both very cold nosed. 7-8 yrs old. 1 Wade Lemmon black and tan that is very good, has been to South America on Jaguars. Good on lions and bear. Very cold nosed. 9 yrs old. 2 younger dogs crossed with the little red tick and my Kemmer cur (sold) coming on very strong and are game crazy. 4 yrs. old. 1 molly mule approximately 22 years old and still packin' clients all the time. She has packed lions, bears, elk, etc. Custom made dog box for full sized ford, may fit others. 6 collar trashbreaker exp in perfect condition. 7 collar Tracker Maxima 5000/25 216-220 in perfect condition, collars obviously show some use. Here are a couple of videos of the dogs treed There is easily over $16,000 invested in this pack. I have many references furnished upon request. I am trying to sell everthing as a package and it looks like that will happen this week.

I'm going to get one of these. Are there really only two different types out there? Which one is better? I'm not worried about cell coverage and all that junk, but who has some real experience with these, user interface etc?

Due to my affliction of impulse buying I have decided to go with a smart scouter. I think the main reason that I chose it was due to the extra external antenna and perhaps a slightly lower monthly rate. Even if this camera works well I think I will also try the Moultrie, those referb prices look pretty hard to beat!

Has anyone here ever used this guys reloading services?

Up for sale is my 2005 king quad. It has 650 easy miles and is super clean, never rolled, raced, wrecked, abused, etc. Automatic, street legal, fuel injection, 4 wheel independent suspension, water cooled, locking differential, etc. I also have a custom trailer I built for it for hauling dogs behind, and a rigging platform for hunting bears etc. for the back. I have always put high grade fuel in it and tried to take care of it to the best of my abillities. It will take you anywhere in extreme comfort! I am asking $4,500 for the quad and $3oo for the hound trailer. Although I do not want to sell the trailer that this entire rig fits into I will consider it if you really need a trailer. I am willing to deliver it to Tucson if need be. Please feel free to PM or call me with any questions. Grant 520-678-3144.

Just bought my son his first truck which came with this shell and we have no need for it. It is in very good condition for it's age and has never really been abused. It has working running lights and 2 interior lights, sliding windows, etc. $100 O.B.O. Call or PM for more details. Grant 520-678-3144.

I'll measure it when I get home.

I am trying to set up my Remington model 700 7 mag. as a 500+ yd. gun. Does anyone have any ideas on store bought ammo that will be the best for long range effectiveness on elk? I will be having custom turrets made for the gun but have yet to find "the" bullet. I have not tried that many different loads in this gun yet, but I can tell you that Winchester ballistic silver tips are all over the place! So far the two bullets that I am toying with are the Federal 160 Gr. Nossler accubond or the Hornady 154Gr. Inter-bond. Waddayathink?

Good luck on the gobbler, I will make it point for me and the old man to stop by when we are up there scouting for elk this year! (We both have late bull tags!)

Exellent info, that 168 VLD seems like great contender with what little info I found on it last nite. Has anyone loaded/shot this round?
-
Ditto on the Bighorn sheep question, I can't believe I missed that one...Idiot Answer all the questions you know right off the bat, if you have benn hunting here most of you life you will already have a 75% then go back and double check the one's you skipped. Pay $300 on the way out.

I don't know why this gun doesn't like those Winchester rounds, but I have heard about them not shooting well in this particular gun! I definately don't have time to get into the whole reloading thing, I would love to, but usually when I get into something like that I tend to go over the top, so I am trying to limit myself to store bought ammo. I have already done the trigger and other than installing a new bi-pod that's the only modification that is going to happen. As far as shooting 250 yards, I can tell you for sure the elk I'll be shooting at will definately be farther out than that. RR have you ever shot the Trophy Bonded Federal 160 gr. in 7mm? Hunterdan Thanks for the info, I sure wish they made that bullet in a 160 Gr. Bill good to hear from you, how is Greer, did you get drawn for elk! Benbrown do you really shoot 110 Gr. bullets at elk?

This is all I've seen for hours!!!!

Glassed this up from about 800yds. plus.

Didn't end up finding a deer that I wanted to shoot, but I did find this deer on the second day and called my dad to come over and shoot it. It took him about two hours to get where I had him bedded @ 144 yards. He would have gone about 102" except he had a broken off G3 on his right side but the double eye guards almost made up for this. Then two days later while I was still looking for a big deer to shoot I went to a place where I have always glassed up bucks, but this time saw nothing. At about 9am I walked down to a saddle that deer always come through and as soon as I sat down and glassed off to my side I found another "hunter" doing the same thing that I was. He was pretty content just watching me and the saddle so not wanting to fill my lion tag just yet, I once again called the "old man" and let him fling lead @ 254 yards and fill his tag. I'm just so glad that I could give my father at 63 years old a hunting season that he won't forget, after all he gave me most of mine! Hope you enjoy the pics.

My thumb did touch the safety a couple of times while I was watching him sleep for two hours.
