Geez and I thought the August 1st date was bad,make mine a double

All this is enough to make a guy crazy.I sure hope its not August 1st,I put in for kaibab archery as one of my choices,hard to get time off from work with three weeks notice.I have always tried to believe the best about our game and fish,but when you 1.split the draw in two,2.make it only paper apps.,how long can it take?Really thought it would be today or tomorrow at the latest.If the August 1st date is just to crap a few of us out,it worked on me,I dont drink much but think its time mr grey goose meets mr cranberry juice.still good luck to all,whenever we might know

If 14,000 is the true # of sheep apps,is that higher or lower than normal?Just curious if paper apps only made any difference.Thought maybe with money a little tight would have slowed down some of the out of state apps.Oh,by the way,90 divided by 14,000 gives me a .0064385 chance to draw,always was my lucky # ,still good luck to all and hopefully this will end soon and we can get back to normal.

Well,its friday nite ,9:45,you would think a grown man would have more to do than torture himself this way,i did just call the draw hotline(done it 4 times already today).I got a different answer,before i was getting right thru and was getting the antelope ,elk results........this time i punched in all my info and the recording said they were having technical difficulties and to call back during business hours.I think this happens when they they are downloading ,hope to find out soon,am going nuts.good luck to all in the draw.

I received the same email,just wondering if that means no credit card hits will show until after june 17th,says on NM home page results will be available online on the 18th,seems like a short window to post results if no credit cards hit until the 17th ?

I think this could be good,I put in late kaibab rifle but 2nd choice was bow in 12a,I love the kaibab and also think 1000 tags with a 3 week season should hopefully spread out the hunters.with the right weather and lots of water holes maybe a chance to arrow a kaibab buck,any buck with a bow is a good job

Well,here we go again.Its 7:55 on June 10th so its all over as far as how many applications are going in for 08.Just curious on anyones opinion(we all got em),as to just paper apps this fall.Does it make any difference on how many out of state hunters apply and by getting the money up front does it have any impact on how many apply?

Its a shame that what should be a useful tool in the right hands ends up in so many of the wrong hands.I ,like desert bull ,use a quad when i hunt.I have never taken it off road and always abide by the rules.It just helps save the wear and tear on my truck and with gas going out of sight I can make a base camp and more economicaly cover the road system to where I park.its not about lazy,I still put in many miles from were I park,its just that in alot of units,the roads are in such bad shape I really dont want to put the wear and tear on my truck.As far as the few who always screw it up for the many,Id like to know how many are really hunters or just those with no respect for the land or the existing laws.Maybe I am always thinking the best of my fellow hunters but I would have to say almost ALL Ive met in the field over alot of yrs are out there as much for the love of the land as the hunt.Sorry for the ramble,just torks me that once again a few surely can screw it for the rest of us.

Is nice to see all the responses,I guesss I started this because I really do wonder if it makes a difference,I might be old fashioned but I have been putting in for years(16 bonus pts for antelope,15 for sheep) and I would have to say my personal preference is the paper apps.,good luck to all who applied,if anyone knows the real numbers over the last couple of yrs am curious to see how close they are with or without the online drawings,oh ,by the way the 23 in deserthunter23 is just a lucky number,will be 54 this summer

what a nice buck,be happy to get one that caliber,is tuesday the 30,I leave tomorrow for the same hunt couldnt go the whole hunt cause of work,I have a muzzleloader bull tag the 16th in unit 6 ,so had to save some time for that.Will be hunting wednesday afternoon thru sunday,hopefully alot of the 175 tags have left.Just like to say congratulations ,hope I can do as well......awesome buck,wish me luck

congrats on the tag!I got drawn for 12A East early hunt too,is a good tag,snow would be awesome,if there is snow,east side game trail is a good place to start,it traverses most of the unit down in the junipers ,pines..........glass alot,lots of deer in the unit,be patient and dont shoot the first thing you see,if no snow they will be on top,but theres over 270 square mile of unit with only 175 tags ,hope you are as stoked as i am,good luck......

FYI for anyone who applied online before it was shut down.....I drew 3 tags online and have been curious like anyone else as to how it was going to work.I called yesterday and after not too long of a wait talked to a woman in the draw dept.She said the tags were yours until the money was received,if not by the date of the hunt then would lose your tags.This goes against the deadline of July 27th.Today I received a payment letter from AG&F ,in it were three lettes with the amounts of each tag and a return envelope with postage pd(thank you G&F),each letter did state money order or cashiers check was required and also that JULY 27TH was the deadline to receive the fees.This goes against what I was told yesterday .Guess long story short,the letters are in the mail,but I hightailed it to the post office with my money orders,not taking any chances.Good luck to all who drew.

they really are out.drew a 12A east deer tag to go with bull muzzleloader tag in 6A,also got a turkey tag in 6a and piggy ham tag in unit 31,good luck to all.

got hit for $114 on the 14,this yr I put in at different times for elk and lopes,hope still a shot for antelope,but not griping at all.stoked for the elk hunt,put in for muzzlelader and late rifle bull,will be happy with either.good luck to all...think there are still lots of cc hits to come

Just an update,called San carlos Game and Fish in the morning (Friday29th),was told tags would go on sale Wed 3rd ,ask if it was all tags or just deer and elk and if tag numbers were set.Was told didnt know and to call back later in the afternoon.When called back,was told wednesday sale wasnt for sure because comission had cancelled thier meeting for this afternoon and would hold meeting to determine tag amounts and time of sale .Was told meeting would be held Tuesday Jan 2nd even though they are closed that day,also was told may or may not be open for tags on Wednesday,so if driving there , may or may not be able to get tags.Guess will have to decide if worth the chance,that was as of 3:00 pm today(Friday),if anyone hears or has heard different would love to know,thanks and good luck to all with Jan coues tags for the San Carlos.....good luck and good hunting to all thanks

Anyone hear yet when tags go on sale on San Carlos for 07?(07-08 season) Last yr coues and elk went on sale Dec 29th,have been lax and havent called,just wondering.......thanks and good luck for all with this yrs January tags

hope results are right,got onto az website last nite 3 times,cant get in today (sunday). If correct,got 6A 2nd turkey,22 ham hunt,and tag # 2 1st buffalo hunt !!!........still have bull muzzlelaoder tag next week,all these yrs and looks like paid off big,good luck to all who drew.......

Love this site and am a coues hunter first,hope not out of line to post about a mule deer hunt,got 2nd choice this yr and work alot ,so hard to scout,not wanting anyones honey holes ,just a little generic info for a place to start.......thanks and good luck to to all who drew(oh yea,is in title of post but hunt is 12 B end of Oct)

Got mine today (sat 29th),elk(bull 6A muzzleloader),deer(12BW ),javalina(archery),I do feel set now that they are all here,am thankful for the tags and good luck to all who drew
