Vortex Crossfire II scout scope 2-7X was mounted on my AR, however it was never actually used. I'm an adult onset hunter. My first hunt was in 2019 Finally got one on my 3rd hunt. I Always saw them but never got close enough for a shot. Tuesday of the hunt I went out solo, this guy came up behind me at 15 yards. already looking forward to next year. Tuesday 2-22-2022 at 2 pm unit 22

I have 250 10mm/40 cal plated FN bullets for sale 30$ they are 180 grain. I also have 100 once fired, 10mm (large pistol primer) brass for 25$ I shot these myself, picked them right up and put them in the original box, all matching fc headstamps Or 50$ for everything Will consider trades for 9mm components

Sorry a little late to the party, i hunted that exact area this last general hunt. due to "snowmageddon" it was the only place that was open. Yes you can hunt there when I arrived on the Sunday of the hunt we saw a father and 2 boys coming out of the hills with 3 Javalina. They shot them just one hill over from the Butcher Jones site. Myself, I saw tons of sign. and a glimpse of a Javalina at the bottom of one of the canyons on the peninsula at the bottom of the area that you highlighted. I couldn't connect though. On Sunday the ATV traffic was intense but I tried to play that to my advantage and found some Rolls with out roads and hunted them. During the weekdays there was almost no traffic from morning till about 4pm and even then it was light.

Thank you for all the info! With this being my first hunt I'm a little nervous. I have an experienced hunting buddy helping me, taking me to his usual spot where he's been successful in the past, but due to work schedules neither of us have been able to get out yet to scout. Also he is having to leave for a day due to work. Leaving me solo for a day in the middle of the hunt. I just want all the information I can get going into this.

A Question for the HAM hunters out there, I am going on my first hunt this upcoming general javelina hunt. What has the behavior been for the "Pigs"? what sides of the hills have you seen them? Higher up the hill or lower? The weather looks like it will be similar to what it was for the HAM hunt. Thanks for any of your hard earned knowledge!
