Yeah, your lucky she didn't leave you a big steaming present on you sleeping bag. You would have had to throw that thing away. It reminds me of my turkey hunt a few years ago. I woke up in the back of my truck to a turkey gobbling up on the hillside. So I got up and went up and shot it. I was done by 6:30 opening morning.

They did my muzzle brake on my rifle this last year. I am very happy with the job they did. They actually beat the date that they told me they would have it done by a week.

There were some real nice ones taken this year out of A. I went up with a buddy of mine that had a tag and we saw several bucks just nothing that would go over 80". I have pictures of a buck that went 113 that was taken in the same place we were glassing a week before. We just didn't wait for the storm to pass. Because that brought all the bucks out. Good luck.

I saw a bunch of them while elk hunting in a canyon that looks alot like the one you where in. I was in unit 23 in AZ. It took us a long time to figure out what they were. My buddy even got down and tried to smell them but couldn't smell anything. Didn't see any elk but we did see some coues.

I would be willing to bet that anyone with any substantial points didn't miss out on getting their apps in on time. The biggest group of hunters that won't be putting in is the nonresidents with only a few bonus points and the resident weekend warrior types.

zeiss conquest 15x45

I have used both and I now own the Minox. From what I was able to tell the Minox are better glass. I had my choice narrowed down to the same 2 choices before talking to Doug at Cameraland. He also said the Minox are better. They are heavier but I think it is worth the extra weight. Just my .02 -
Jr. Javelina Hunt 2007

Stanley, congrats to your boy. I don't have any boys but I have done the pinewood derby cars with my younger daughter a couple times. The boys don't like it much when a girl shows up and beats them. -
I would have to say after the rabbits got done they were probably hanging around smoking. And they didn't even notice the sly fox slide in and get a easy meal.

I just bought the 12X52 Minox binoculars about a month ago and did a lot of research and talked with Doug at Cameraland. From what he said and I saw the Minox are better than the Zeiss Conquest line. That is their lower end line. The Minox used to be a line of the Leica binoculars and have split off to become their own company. I couldn't be more happy with the money I spent.

Great job. All you where missing was a bull. Maybe this will be the year. Congrats.

That is a great buck. I am also curious what unit he came out of. I spent several days with a friend of mine in A this year. Didn't see any shooter bucks. Saw lots of 80 and below bucks though.

Spotting Scopes
AZbowhntr replied to IHunt2live's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
Alpen sells a 15-45X60 spotting scope for around $150. Not bad for the money. -
I have been up there this last weekend and going back up in the morning with a friend that has a tag. When we bought our permits this last weekend they said that there were a bunch of people camping out the day before they went on sale. I am pretty sure that everything is sold out. I know the bear tags went up $200 too. Didn't hear about any other prices though.

Wow, I would take lucky any day. Great pics and story. Looks like you had a great time in AZ besides the weather. What part of Idaho you from? I grew up in Jerome and get up there about every year. I like hunting muleys over by Carey.

Great buck. I just got back from helping a friend in zone A. We are going back up this week to finish up. We have passed on a few but haven't seen anything as nice as yours. We have been keeping our eyes open for any lions. My friend would rather take a lion than a buck. Congrats

Meat processing?
AZbowhntr replied to DesertBull's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
I will second Millers Southwestern Processing. I have used them for everything that I have ever had processed and have never had a problem.
