I say string em up! Great looking bear by the way.

    A few recent elk pics

I like that last one to. Wouldn't mind seeing him on my hunt this fall.

    Draw results

I will have to agree with Daryl on this one. I never check until I log on to CWT and see a post with about 30 replies that the results are out. And the funny thing is they have probably only been out for 30 minutes. Word spreads fast when they do finally come out.

    Weatherby 300 Win Mag

Elkster, I have 2 other interested buyers. I will let you know what they offer.

    Funniest video ever

That is one of the best videos ever. My wife doesn't think so though.

    ADA Banquet...

Funny, I won the Grand Canyon flight for two from the silent auction. I opened the envelope when I got home and there are two certificates in there. One for two flights and one for two flights and the river float. So I will have to talk to him and see if both were supposed to be included. I am really looking forward to taking that. To bad I didn't put in for the Kaibab this year. Maybe he could be talked into making a detour. And I won a golf foursome at Las Colinas. Good times.

    Rifle Strip Tag

I had the early tag a few years ago and although we saw literally 100's of deer and several bucks better than what I ended up taking I was running out of time and this buck came out at the wrong time and place. He came out about 35 yds from where I was set up glassing. The G&F's main objective on the early hunt is to thin out the little bucks and that is mostly what is taken. So you will see tons of them. You just have to be patient and wait for something that is within your limits. Good luck on drawing a tag.

    ADA Banquet...

Even though the attendance was down this year it was still a good time. It is always nice to meet a few more CWT people and it definitely doesn't hurt when you walk away with a new rifle. Although it wasn't a Remington but a Weatherby Vanguard 300 win mag. Now I have to decide if I want to keep it or sell it for money for my binocs that I want to buy. Or at least put a dent into buying.

    Bulls in Velvet

That is awesome. It seems like only a few weeks ago they were just starting to grow antlers.

    Vortex 15x56 Kaibab came in-finally

Wow, I have been waiting for this post to complete. Now I have some thinking to do. I had almost been set on paying the extra but I will have to think about it some more now. I like the idea of saving some cash. Thanks for the updates.

    2009 Bull Elk

I think a lot will depend on the scouting and what we are seeing. But I will be looking for something in the 350 class or better.

    Application CAUTION

I always hand deliver mine. If I have to drive to the post office I might as well drive to the G&F office. Plus I only live 5 miles from the Mesa office.

    Non-lead bullets on the Strip

I shot my buck a few years ago with a 100% copper bullet and he made it about 10'. Had a pass through with a real nice exit hole. And they are accurate as can be.

    Fire Restrictions in Tonto NF

That figures, I am going camping this weekend. I just got off the phone with Tonto NF and you can still have fires in developed camp grounds.
  16. That was a awesome story and pictures. Sounds like it was a great time. That is what hunting is all about.

    What camo pattern?

I have never really paid to much attention to what I wear. I have quit a bit of natural gear from walmart I guess. I have a funny story that is probably to long to tell here but Chef wears ASAT and it works great. We found that out up on the Kaibab one year when we were helping a couple guys find a deer they had shot. He was walking in front of one of them when they started to panic. He stopped and asked if the guy was alright and he said I can hear you but I can't see you. Chef was 10' in front of the guy. We laughed for hours after that. And we still do.

    Bears anyone?

Wow, sounds like an awesome weekend even though you didn't score a bear.
  19. Great story. Where are the pictures?

Bull Video saved the BIGGEST for last.

I was wondering what happened. I tried to view one of the other videos and it kept taking me to some other page. Great video.

    Tom Turkey Locator

Redneck, I hear you. The last turkey tag I had my wife and daughters were ready to kick me out of the house. I used to drive about 30 minutes to and from work and started practicing while I drove. Apparently it worked because I got a turkey the very first time a went out. I have always used a crow call with pretty good success.

    spotting scope

The problem we ran into last year was the heat waves. They got so bad that we could only go a little over 20X with the spotter. My buddy had the Vortex Skyline. If it would have been a little cooler I don't think that there would have been any problem.
  24. What about the black poly line that we use for our drip systems? That is way cheaper than PVC and it is one continuous line. I would imagine that for a $100 you could run a 1/4 mile of that stuff. I don't know how far you are having to hike in but that is a thought for getting water to your tank. Good luck. I think it would be cool to do something like this.
