Smart dog. Didn't want anything to do with those hooves. Definitely not something you see everyday.

Amazing that the governors tag went for 205K this year with the economy the way it is. I guess when you have 2 guys with money and they both want the same thing that happens. It was great seeing some people again and meeting new people.

I wonder what the couple on the motorcycle thought when he flew past them. Or the cars and bikes going the other way.

Well the time has come, I will have my very own...
AZbowhntr replied to Browning'sCustomMeat's topic in Classified Ads
The only thing with having your name in the title is if you decide to sell the business some day. It is not as sell-able if your name is there. I have my own business and that was some advice I received when I came up with a name. That said I like something like Rim Country Meats or Processing something along that line. -
I have an old .300 Savage that i inherited from my grandpa that I shot a muley with several years ago. Still have it but don't know if I will ever shoot it again. I guess it would take the right situation but it was fun shooting.

Cool picture with him on the boulder.

How long has it been since you been drawn for bull elk
AZbowhntr replied to joeybari's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
It has been 1 years since I have drawn a tag. But the good thing is 2 yrs ago a buddy drew a tag and I went along and he shot a nice bull, last year I drew a tag and shot a decent bull and this year another buddy drew a bull tag and I get to go along and help. All in the same unit. Helping someone else is better than sitting home. -
There are currently 56 members looking at a 17 page post of nothing. How funny

That is cool. I would definitely buy something like that.

I know one of them. He is trying to get a D tag.

Great pictures. At least there are plenty of predators in the area. Any deer on the camera?

Robert, maybe Merl will honor them down the road. Especially if you buy a few more. I always stop in and say hi to him whenever I'm in town. Great guy.

I am a home inspector and it drives me nuts when I see all the homes that have satellite hooked up with all the wires running around the exterior with holes drilled through the walls. Just use the stinking cable lines. That is the main reason I haven't changed over yet. Hunting shows or not. I'm not letting them run 200' of cable all over my house.

I'm sure this morning was warmer than yesterday morning when you went in. It is warming up through the week. Looks like you will need it to also dry out some. That really sucks. I like to hunt in unit 23 and every time I go to Young something happens. I have made some good friends because of it though. So I know how you feel.

That is a real pretty buck. Brian, you take some awesome video. -
Well my wife and I decided to get away for a few days and take the kids to play in the snow. We decided to invite some friends of ours to come along who also happen to have some kids. Well my buddy and I decided to take the rifles and maybe get a few hours of calling in one morning. Well we happened to get out yesterday morning for a few hours north of Springerville a ways. I have only seen a couple bobcats in the wild so when we called on in I was kind of shocked. At first when I put my scope on him at about 500 yards I thought man this coyote is small. But when I cranked my scope up to 9 power I was jacked to see this guy coming in. He stopped at about 150 yds and gave me a broadside shot. Right as I shot he turned and I missed. But he luckily didn't know which way to run so he didn't. My second shot did not miss. I think I blew off his privates because that was the only damage. The hide is in perfect condition otherwise. I dropped him off at the taxidermist today for a full body mount. Check him out. I though he was small but the taxidermist said he was real nice sized. By the way I did have a camo hat on and pants during calling. Just took them off for the pictures. And he came across from the ridge in the background of the second picture.

Thanks guys. I am having a guy up in Young do it for me. He is also doing my bull from this last fall. He is retired but still does it on the side. And he does incredible work. I can't wait to get a coues deer for him to do.

It used to be a warning in the old days of dial up internet. Remember the old 28K internet modems? If you had a post with a bunch of photos and you tried to open it with a dial up you were screwed.

Rifle Kick....looking for suggestions for next rifle
AZbowhntr replied to Redman's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Redman, if your still interested in putting a muzzlebreak on your 300 you might look at Accuracy Speaks. They up at Usery Pass. They did mine on my Lazz. Patriot and it made a huge difference. They did an awesome job and it wasn't that much. -
In the market for a new gun
AZbowhntr replied to elkhutnaz's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Lazzeroni, He is also a sponsor here on the site. Incredible shooting rifles and less than what you are looking at. -
Congrats. That is pretty cool calling them in. I did it for a friend one time that had never seen it before and it scared him bad enough that he was ready to shoot because he thought they were going to charge him.
