I remember the big buck contests were always about the width. Not sure what they do now but nobody cared about score. It was all about the width. Great picture.

Look right here on the site in the CWT store. The Promaster carbon tripod is really good for the money. I have it and I know of at least a few others that do also. Can't go wrong and you are supporting the site.

Here are a few pictures from a trip I took up there a few years ago. I cheated and flew in and hiked out. We took our scouts up and swapped out leaders halfway through the week. We were there during July and way too hot. This is flying in. Right down the middle of the canyon. Had an incredible view. This falls doesn't look that big until you see that there are people next to the falls at the very bottom.

If you don't mind going across the valley I think the best I have seen is Motortek. They are off of Guadalupe and Arizona Ave. The reason we started going to them several years ago was my wife drove an Infiniti (Nissan with a different hood ornament) that needed some specialty work done. That's what they call a scorpion on Recklessness. That buck took a nose dive into the dirt. Awesome shot and video as always.

Coming home today on the 202 on the north side the big sign said delayed traffic from mile marker something to something else on 87. Don't remember the exact numbers but I did the math and it was 13 miles. I can't believe traffic could be backed up 13 miles going into Payson.

Nice bear. Sounds like it was pretty tough and didn't want to go down. It also sounds like you were in a pretty good area. What bullets were you using?
