Are any of these applications with maps of Mexico available that anyone knows of? I would love to be able to download everything onto my phone and have one less piece of equipment to deal with.

Pretty Awesome First 13 Months of Hunting!
AZbowhntr replied to rossislider's topic in Youth Hunters
Well done young man. And dad too. I think that puts a lot of us to shame over the same time. -
That is awesome. Congrats on a great archery buck. Not many people are daring enough to take the chance of hunting down there with a bow. I have hunted twice with Temo and he is a great guy.

I have also been having problems with the classified section. When I click on the tap I get a black screen with the words "Gif 1X1 pixel" that the top on the tab and a tiny dot in the middle of the screen. But I can click on the latest post and see it. Strange

Great buck. It is awesome when a plan comes together and actually works.

I would be good for a couple.

I use the shooter app on my phone and it is pretty much dead on. So I guess if I use the angle and through it into my phone it should give me the updated yardage. I don't really see any other real use for the rangefinder. I was thinking I would be able to enter all of my ballistics and it would match the real calculators.
-
I have a question for anyone that has this rangefinder and has set up the ballistics on it. I have been using the rangfinder portion of it with no problems but decided I would set up the ballistics portion the other day. Looking through the manual it appears that you have to pic from their zero of 100, 200 or 300 yards and out of 12 different trajectories. My question is, is this true? If my zero is 250 yds than it won't work unless I change my zero and can match up the trajectory with one of their presettings? There are several other things that it can do but it looks like they all depend on the ballistics that are input. Thanks for any help.

I shoot the Tika T3 in 270WSM with a Vortex Viper 6.5-20X50 scope and reading this thread was curious. So I just weighed it and everything including my bipod base that is attached it weighed 8.6 lbs. And it will shoot 2" groups at 500 yds. I will take that all day long.

Congratulations, now what are you going to do for the rest of the month?

Great first post. Congrats on a great buck. The first of many hopefully.

Great buck and write up. And yes we are looking forward to the story on the monster in the grass in the camp picture. That thing is crazy.
-
Loved the write up. And a great bull to top it off. The hard work paid off in the end.

Chef is up helping on a hunt right now. unit 22. I talked to him last night and Jay Scott's hunter has killed and someone else in 24bn. I think he said high 170 rams. The guy he is helping has passed a good one a couple times. I think he has the entire hunt so he isn't pressured.

Congrats on a nice buck. I have the same rifle in .308 that I may break back out one of these days that I got from by dad.

WOW really?

Been there, done that! Took a friend out one time. When we met he had invited someone else without asking. Not much I could say at that point. We went to one of my spots and had a great day. Went back the next weekend and the friends friend was there with a bunch of other guys. Talk about being pissed off. -
Great writeup. Oh to be young again. You were covering some ground in a hurry. Congrats on a nice bull.

They are everywhere. I ran by Sportsmans Warehouse Friday afternoon to pick up some shotgun shells and as I was walking in security swarmed a guy walking out. He didn't go down without a fight but they slammed him pretty good. Got what he deserved. I don't know what he stole but it was small enough to fit in his hand.

That ram looked like he had one thing on his mind. He was not letting her get too far away. And making sure those smaller rams where nowhere around her.
-
Congrats on a nice buck. I went through the same thing with my daughter a few years ago. Like you said we take it for granted growing up with BB guns and the smaller caliber rifles.
-
Happy Thanksgiving. I knew there was going to be a great picture involved.

I have had the Jim White glassing pad for years now and love it. It unzips and the back comes up for back support. Straps right to any pack that I have at the time. Unfortunately I don't think they are made anymore. Too bad.

I figured they would like the foriegn stuff. Funny picture.
