Chef is up helping on a hunt right now. unit 22. I talked to him last night and Jay Scott's hunter has killed and someone else in 24bn. I think he said high 170 rams. The guy he is helping has passed a good one a couple times. I think he has the entire hunt so he isn't pressured.

Congrats on a nice buck. I have the same rifle in .308 that I may break back out one of these days that I got from by dad.

WOW really?

Been there, done that! Took a friend out one time. When we met he had invited someone else without asking. Not much I could say at that point. We went to one of my spots and had a great day. Went back the next weekend and the friends friend was there with a bunch of other guys. Talk about being pissed off. -
Great writeup. Oh to be young again. You were covering some ground in a hurry. Congrats on a nice bull.

They are everywhere. I ran by Sportsmans Warehouse Friday afternoon to pick up some shotgun shells and as I was walking in security swarmed a guy walking out. He didn't go down without a fight but they slammed him pretty good. Got what he deserved. I don't know what he stole but it was small enough to fit in his hand.

That ram looked like he had one thing on his mind. He was not letting her get too far away. And making sure those smaller rams where nowhere around her.

Congrats on a nice buck. I went through the same thing with my daughter a few years ago. Like you said we take it for granted growing up with BB guns and the smaller caliber rifles.

Happy Thanksgiving. I knew there was going to be a great picture involved.

I have had the Jim White glassing pad for years now and love it. It unzips and the back comes up for back support. Straps right to any pack that I have at the time. Unfortunately I don't think they are made anymore. Too bad.

I figured they would like the foriegn stuff. Funny picture.

That is awesome. Happy Anniversary.

Those are both some great bulls. Congrats on getting it done on a dang tough hunt.

I have glassed quite a bit through the years. But until I took Dwayne Adams glassing class I was only OK at it. He teaches how, where and when to glass. It was definitely worth the money spent. That said this year was harder than most to glass bedded deer. I watched mule deer up on the Kaibab bed down and completely disappear because of the grass and cover being so tall from all the rain. I knew they were there but couldn't even see a antler tip.

Falconry and rabbit fields

I am impressed. That has to take a ton of time. -
Great goat and it looks like it was well deserved. I have thought a lot about the same things you have through the years. The only problem that I have is that now that my kids are out of high school and mostly self sufficient is that I am almost 50 years old and those hunts are hard on our bodies. I think the best way to do it is a little of both. I try to spend a good split amount of time hunting and family activities to make everyone happy.

Been there done that. Woke up to 2 skunks fighting over chicken bones from the night before about 3' from me. Never kept so still in my life until they rolled out of the fire pit where the bones were and then never moved so fast.

I am not sure if it is or not but you weren't as lucky as I was. I had my 108" coues deer fall off the wall and land on the couch. Hopefully they can.

I have a Viking Epic and love it. It is smaller than yours but they are great trailers. Good luck with the sale.

Congratulations on the bucks. I have been wondering how everything turned out since we talked in Sportsmans that day. I am glad everything worked out for you. Also tell your dad congrats for me. Orlin -
Congrats on a couple late archery bulls. That is some nasty looking country. I know how tough it can be. The bull in my avatar is a late archery bull.

Dang, I just bought mine about a month ago. Where were you then?

Great buck. Your uncle is lucky to have you around. -
It is incredible.

Great way to look at it. I don't know if you will have to deal with 18" of crusted snow. Might look for someone with horses that you could call to help pack out for a fee. I am not too familiar with the unit but do have a buddy that has hunted it a few times and really likes it.

I love the display. It is great because it doesn't take up a bunch of room so you could put it almost anywhere you wanted to. That is the main reason why I have never thought about having any displays done in the past.
