Awesome, now kill a bull to match.

I have the ear plugs with the cord that attaches them. And I run the cord through the back of my hat where you adjust the size so that I never lose them. I accidentally shot my 270wsm with a muzzle break once without hearing protection and it literally dazed me. I now know how a concussion grenade works. I sat there for a few seconds with a stupid look on my face wondering where I was and what I had just done.

Dang you are a dog killing machine. That is awesome. -
That is awesome. Just about how I figured it would go. I don't think there is anything quite like the Kaibab on those late hunts. Now it is down to the rifle bull hunt and it will be the end of an incredible season. Congratulations to Taylor.

It is when you take pictured with your phone and some you take vertical and some landscape. For some reason they get posted on here in the landscape form even if they were taken the other way. Great pictures by the way. I never knew that they strutted like that in the fall. -
You definitely have a skill. That was one of the better write ups I have ever read on here or any magazine. It isn't always about the hunt. Congrats on a nice buck too.

I think there is something missing. No picture.

That is awesome. Congrats to your son and you. -
Great buck Christian. Congrats and it is good to see you on here.

It is interesting to look at a map of the west states and how they voted by county. California, Oregon and Washington are all mostly red except the big cities.

Tyler, it was nice meeting you. Good luck with your dads hunt this weekend.

I sent you a message.

I did my part. I was in line at 5:45 this morning and it only took 45 minutes.

Got a pending charge for turkey. Good deal.

What Shooting/Ballistics Apps do you prefer best?
AZbowhntr replied to SlikRick02's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I use the Shooter app. Has all the features I could possibly need (and then some) and with the correct data it is dead on. Plus I recently switched phones and was able to log in and pull all my data back onto my phone without having to re-enter everything. -
Great buck. I would have loved to see the bigger buck. Congrats on the success. I am also a little curious on the 450 yd zero. I zero my rifles at 250 and thought that was farther than most.

I have a buddy that has one and I wasn't impressed. It is small and easy to pack but I didn't like looking through it.

I bought the #1 setup and am very happy with the service. I paid for it on Saturday and it shipped that same day and had it in my hand yesterday. Can't ask for any better than that. Thanks Scott. -
Congrats again Phil. It was a pleasure meeting your dad up in elk camp this year.

I have a 270 wsm and love it. When they shoot that good it is hard to pay thousands more for a custom rifle that will only get you very small increases in accuracy.

That is a great buck. Congrats to you and your wife.

We have really started pre making most of our meals the last few hunts I have been on. Make several breakfast burritos for breakfast each day. We can through them in the pack and eat while we start glassing. Lunch meat type sandwiches for lunch. And sometime smoke a pork shoulder, make homemade chili or what is really good is buy a Costco whole rotisserie chicken and bone it out and add it to a jar of that 505 Southwestern Green Chili sauce for dinners. Good stuff.

Congrats to you and your wife. That is a great write up and pictures.

Great buck. I know how you felt. I had the west side tag last year and they would get in that deadfall and you would never think they could hide in it. And the next thing you know it comes alive with deer moving. We found beds under logs that were suspended on top of other logs that you would never be able to see a deer in. Great job sticking with it.

We will use a cow call while we are hiking in and out of areas. Elk are very noisy and a cow call can put them at ease if they are close by. I don't know if you would ever be able to call anything in though.
