    6.5 Creedmoor Build

That looks sharp. And the best thing is it is all you. Congrats on a great build. Do you mind sharing roughly what you have into it doing it this way?

    Windshield Repair

I am currently on my 4th windshield in my 2010 Chevy. The original windshield lasted most of that. I have had nothing but a pain in the rear trying to get someone honest and good. One place promised a $50 cash/gift card but never produced and Safelite replaced it once while I was gone and ended up cracking my dashboard and to top it off was hitting on my daughter while he should have been working. Of course they wouldn't claim up to any of it. And I left the next day for a trip up to Idaho and got a chip that instantly turned into a crack on the way up there. So now I have two big cracks across the drivers side and numerous chips. But I don't want to deal with them and their cheap replacement windshields and horrible service. End of rant.

    Zip Off Base Layer Bottoms

I can't imagine tearing off velcro anything out in the wilderness. There is no such way of doing it quietly. I guess if you did it like the strippers and do it real quick it would only last a second.

    Regs are out

7 points 27 late rifle bull. Thanks

    My best ND whitetail!

That is a stud whitetail buck. The width is only one measurement and all those points add up. Congrats on a buck of a lifetime.

    Eletronic call

I would agree with Foxpro. I bought mine online somewhere and was able to pick the sounds that came on it. There are 75 calls and I will never come close to using them all.

    That Buck

Congrats, nothing worse than getting sick while hunting. I lost my voice on my hunt this last year and felt like crap.

    Coati down!!

That is cool. I would love to get one sometime. I have been deer hunting every time I have had a chance and didn't want to mess up a morning or afternoon hunt. Plus I am usually carrying way more rifle than would be needed for one.

    Headlamps

I have a black diamond that has a bunch of different settings but usually try to go as low light as possible. They have some crazy powerful lights out there but I don't have any need to light up the entire side of a mountain hiking in to a hunting spot in the morning.
  10. Cool. That doesn't happen very often.

    Lets talk Prime Rib Cooking

What is the biggest prime rib roast any of you have cooked in the oven. I have a 16 pounder for Christmas but not sure if I can do the entire roast.

    WTB G43

AJI Sporting goods had one the other day. I was going to buy it but ended up getting the Ruger LC9s instead.

    My NM Coues

Being from Idaho too I can tell you that they all look small at first. The first coues buck I ever saw was on a javelina hunt which I had a deer tag in my pocket and purposefully scared a really nice buck away because I thought he was going to mess up my javelina hunt. I just thought he was a little buck. And last year a buddy of mine from Idaho passed on two mid 80's bucks because he thought they were little. Luckily he redeemed himself this year. Congrats on a nice buck.

WTF is up with some hunters

I have been glassing for over an hour before and had someone come set up in front of me and start glassing the same country. And he owns one of the local shops. My friends and I looked at each other like what the F just happened. Some peoples brains just don't work right I guess.

    Nephews Elk

Congrats on a cool looking bull.

    Mearns Opener

Cool picture. You can see the bird right at the top edge of the tree on the right. Good thing you didn't pull the trigger then. Looked like the barrel was pointed more at your dog than the bird.

    Bulls of the Tetons

Incredible pictures as always. I love that country. Went to school up there and skied Grand Targhee about 2 times a week for a year.
  18. Great pictures. So do the males or females have the red above their eyes and the others not?

Not what I wanted to see

In one of the southern units I was glassing one year and picked up a lion lounging on a boulder at about 700 yds. And about 100 yds below it was a doe and fawn feeding. The lion sat there watching them for a few minutes (while I frantically tried to get set up for a shot) before climbing off and going the opposite direction and out of the bowl I was glassing without a care in the world. So I don't think a lion is going to push everything out of an area.

    Find the deer

The deer in the first picture is only the head and ear. It was bedded down and looking left almost center of picture. The second picture one is out in the open and easy to see. The other one is left in the shadows. There was actually a third deer in the picture but I couldn't even see it in the picture down in the trees to the lower right corner.

    Find the deer

Here are a couple find the deer pictures. These were taken through the binoculars. There is one deer in the first and two in the second.
  22. Well we picked up a few leftover tags for down south and went down this last week to our little area that we hang out in. We decided that we would go down Sunday and hunt through the end of the hunt to have the unit to ourselves. Little did we know that everyone in the area had the same plan. One of my buddy's has never shot a coues deer so that was our first priority. The first morning glassing we find a real narrow but tall 3 pt at about 800 yds bedded down. So we send our buddy off. As he is getting close the buck gets up and starts to move. That is about the time that I see the tail and realize it is a muley. So I am on the radio yelling not to shoot. Finally he understands what I am trying to say and comes back. He was ready to shoot at 175 yds before I went psycho on the radio. Most of the hunt was similar with several stalks on nice bucks but it just not working out. The last morning we were able to get him on a nice buck and he made a great 450 yd shot. We clean and quarter the buck, load it up and start packing it out. We are less than 200 yds from the road when a buck jumps in front of me and think about it for a few seconds and decide to take it. Probably my smallest buck but definitely the easiest pack ever. Here are a couple pictures.

Any success on the 6a muzzeloader hunt?

I am heading out this afternoon to help a friend and his son on a hunt. We are really hoping we can get his son on something decent. I am loving the cooler weather. Especially after my coues hunt where it was in the 80's every day.

    Cool picture

Both cool pictures. I never had a clue they could climb like that.

Body Count Rising ..5 more dogs

I am impressed every time you post pictures of all the dogs you get. I would love to hear your technique some day. I can go calling in an area that I can hear them howling at night or in the morning and still only get them to come in occasionally.
