    Any graphic designers?

I can second Brett. I have been using him for all my marketing things and logo shirts for the last 10 plus years.

What is your dream/bucket list hunt?

High country mule deer hunt. That tops my list. Lots of stuff I would like to get but baby steps.

    Unattended Fire

Chef from here on the site and I were heading to Young one time from the south side and happened across a fire burning along side the road. So we do the right thing and jump out and run over and put the fire out. Feeling good about ourselves we get back in the truck only to drive down the road about a 1/4 mile and see a sign marking controlled burn area. So much for our good deed.

    Leftover results

We struck out also. And we mailed the application on Friday. We had all five choices filled out with hunts with pretty good tag amounts left. We must of ended up on the bottom of the pile. Idaho, here I come.

    Any private pilots here?

Had a couple friends with private licenses when I was in the Air Force. We use to go fly every Sunday because it was a no fly day for the military. We would buy bags of oranges and get permission from the air traffic controller to fly over the bombing range. Then we would open one door of the plane and bomb the planes with oranges as we dive bombed them. Good times.

    Unit 23 New mexico

One of the biggest muleys I have ever seen was in that unit. Down south of Mule Creek up against the ranch where the road is blocked by a locked gate. We hunted east of there.

    Hydrographics tank

Looks like the refrigerator got tagged also.
  9. The first time I went to Mexico we were glassing for about an hour and happened to look down and there were several deer with a few decent bucks just chilling within 100 yards. They didn't have a care in the world that we were sitting above them. That is what I love about hunting coues deer in Mexico.

    Plantar fasciitis

I went through this a couple years ago. I had the foot casts that you sleep with and the little rolling thing for the bottoms of my feet while at my desk. None of that seemed to help. I ended up getting new work boots with custom inserts and I haven't had an issue since. I imagine it is like everything else that every case is different though. I would pretty much shuffle to the bathroom in the morning when I got up because of the pain. But as the day went by they seemed to loosen up. Good luck

    Which directions do you glass?

I took Duwane Adams glassing class years ago. We glassed the south and east facing slopes first thing in the morning and then turned around as they started feeding towards bedding areas. Coues deer will stay up later than muleys so it lets you glass away from the sun longer. I think it was around 9 when we turned and started glassing the north facing slopes. It was crazy because we started seeing deer feed out of view and turned around to glass the opposite ridges and had different deer pop into view.

Anyone buy glasses from Eye Glass World?

Just think of all the money you saved. At least that is how my wife explains it to me.
  14. Say this goes through and all of these tags become available through raffle or auction, what does it do to the value of the Governors tags? Seems like they won't bring in any money. So our habitat loses.

One more chance for youth hunts...

    Congratulations Damon. That is awesome.
  17. What I don't understand is how fighting the HSUS is political. They were going for the removal of lion hunting. It seems like that is exactly what the G&F should be there for. Nothing political about it. For them not to get involved in it is crazy to me.

    Pig Saddle FS $100

I grew up on a pig farm in Idaho and used to ride pigs all the time when I was a kid. Never had a saddle though. We had to ride bareback. I was looking forward to seeing what I was missing.

    AZGFD Portal Issues

Mine works fine. I think it has to do with something not matching in your account. For some reason when I put in for the draws I can buy the point guard but my buddy that I put in with can't. He has something that doesn't match which causes the error.

    Mastros

That place is incredible. My wife and I were taken there for helping do a wedding and the total was over $700 for 4 of us to eat. We had a $95 appetizer.

Wall Tent - How Many Rafters?

I can't imagine there would be much sag at all without a load of snow on top of it. Which isn't going to happen very often here in AZ.

Kaibab - early vs. late hunt?

If you talk to the G&F the early hunt is more of a management hunt. There are lots of smaller bucks killed on that hunt. I have had the early hunt twice and killed average bucks both times. Good bucks for most units but only average up there. I have also gone up with a friend on a late hunt years ago and they killed the biggest buck on the west side that year. It was in Muley Crazy magazine that year. And it was complete luck. There was zero scouting involved. I put in for the west side early and late every year and then just pick up a leftover tag down south when I don't draw. One of these years I may get lucky and draw the late tag and hold out for a real big one.
