I am pretty sure this post is talking about the jr doe hunt. Not the buck hunts. Even then, I had the early rifle buck hunt just a few years ago and saw easily 20 bucks a day. If I had a short period of time to get a doe I would go west from Jacob Lake and hit the 22 rd and go about a mile south and take the road west. There will more than likely be a lot of deer in that area. I don't remember all of the road numbers right now. Just my opinion.

I think they have had some weather up there so they may be moving down to the flats (western portion of the unit). If so you will see hundreds of deer a day instead if they are still high and you only see about a 100.

Naturebob, you might want one of the other guides to hold your bullets. Duwane has been known to get excited and tell his hunters to shoot a buck that is deceiving.

I would keep it also. I have my grandpas Belgian made Browning Automatic that he bought when he was in Europe after he served a mission many years ago. I am not sure the age because the records were all destroyed during WWII. I don't imagine I will ever shoot it again but I look forward to passing it down to one of my grandsons when they are old enough. I shot it for several years when I was younger and had many bruises because of it kicking like a horse. Good luck with your decision.

I have seen bedded bucks right in the middle of ocotillo patches. My daughter had a tag one year and we were set up on a buck in the ocotillo. I told her as soon as he stood up and gave her a shot to take it. When he finally stood up he took about 2 steps and the shot opportunity was gone. That stuff can be thick.

Great bull and way to stick with it. Somehow I missed the original post. I can't imagine packing a bull out by myself. That would be a chore.

I love the open country's. Have had a few sets on my old Silverado.

The first two times I hunted down south I saw lions. I always have a tag just in case. The first time I got a shot but it was in a canyon at last light and I had a not so good scope on my rifle so it made it almost impossible to see the lion. The second time the lion was too far away for a shot. Needless to say I have upgraded rifle scopes and I won't miss an opportunity like that again.

Well I know if you shoot a bull in the back of the head they die pretty quickly. My only archery bull hardly flinched when I shot him the first time. Just stood there for a minute or so looking around. He finally trotted off a ways and I decided to shoot him again but miss judged the distance. Arrow hit him right smack in the back of the head. The crazy thing is the arrow punched through his skull and lodged against his eye. You can see the arrow sticking out the back of his head below his right ear.

Is there a setting for when you scroll down and click on a post and hit the back button after reading the post you don't go all the way to the top of the page? I have to then scroll all the way down to where I was at before.

I am out in SE Mesa and don't know if I have ever seen as many as this year. I have hit a few just driving down Pecos road and a couple on the 202 in the evenings when they get flying.

I can second Brett. I have been using him for all my marketing things and logo shirts for the last 10 plus years.

High country mule deer hunt. That tops my list. Lots of stuff I would like to get but baby steps.
