Congrats on a great buck. This has been a legendary year for the family. What is Draysen going to do with the cape? I need one and would be willing to buy it if he is willing to sell it.

Congrats on a great bull. I had the same hunt. I heard of some nice bulls being taken but for the most part it was tough because of the roads. And I don't think we saw a mature bull that wasn't broke up. Some of them missing entire main beams. We weren't able to get into our "A" spot until Tuesday because of the high stream flows. We ended up taking a couple bulls late in the hunt to fill the freezers.

Hopefully everything heals up fine. My daughter broke all the bones across the top of her foot when she was about 3. Everything healed up fine except for the growth plate in one of her toes. She now has a short 4th toe. And my buddy broke his leg when he was a kid and it is about an inch shorter than the other one now. He has to wear inserts to level it out.

I bought a 2018 Honda Pioneer about 6 months ago and couldn't be happier. I just got back from hunting and it did amazing in the snow and mud. One of my buddies had a General there and everyone said that mine was quieter, smoother with stock shocks and didn't fling the mud all over like the General did. I plan on adding some Fox shocks make the ride better this winter.

We had a couple unit 23 bull tags this year. I scouted about 5 times and had a pretty good plan going into the hunt. Little did I know or even think of what would happen if we got over an inch of rain over Thursday night and about 6" of snow opening day that we wouldn't be able to cross the creek for 5 days. And then everything melted within a couple days turning every road into sticky mud. Kind of made for a tough hunt. We finally settled for a couple meat bulls on the second to last day but it definitely didn't turn out how I had envisioned it.

happy thanksgiving to all around this little rock and all others in their travels.

Thanks for the pic. I think I threw up a little. That little kid in the middle is happy as a pig in mud. -
That is a sweet setup.

The other day Young was supposed to get 1" of rain Thursday and 5-8" of snow on Friday. Now it is down to .3" of rain Thursday and 3-6" of snow Friday. If we had another week before the hunt it might be sunny skies the way it is going.

5-8" are forecasted in my unit for Friday. I have been waiting for Friday for at least 8 years now. Starting to get giddy.

I agree with thegunsmith2506. That second to last bull is crazy. Looks like a bunch of fun right there. Congrats to everyone. -
I would say that this weather has definitely made it harder on the late archery guys. If they didn't get it done already it will be hard now. I have the late rifle hunt and forecast is calling for 3" of snow on Friday the opener in my unit.

new SXS wheels and tires (priced to move)
AZbowhntr replied to mountaingoat08's topic in Classified Ads
The Honda Pioneer 1000 is 4X136. I have one also and will be changing once I wear these tires out. What did you end up going with and how do you like them? I think I am going to go to a 15" wheel and run the same tire on the front and back. -
Gotta love it! That is awesome.
-
Heck of a bear. Congrats
-
Good luck with the recovery in the morning.

Sweet! Congrats

I am not going down this coming year to hunt but I already had decided that months ago. We go to Rocky Point at least once a year and I have zero concerns about going there. We stay in Los Palomas and don't do anything stupid and have a blast. The more I hear about the recent killings the more of a targeted attack I feel it was. The cartel is ruthless but I don't think they just randomly go around killing people.
-
Or a rim. That is the first thing that came to my mind.
-
I can see the possibility of that happening. We skinned out a bear one time and all of us were amazed at how much it resembled a human body.
-
Great buck. Congrats
-
I even worry about loading just my side by side and leaving it attached to my truck overnight.

Congrats on a great buck. Heck of a back up buck.
-
Great buck. If I had to guess I would have put him in the low to mid 90's. Not a buck I would ever pass in the states.
-
Good luck. This hunt should be a little more tire friendly. Although apparently not grill friendly.
