    mexico outfitters

They have a web site link to them on the AZOD site. I actualy just found out who they are and a good friend of mine is the son of the owner. I was just wanting to know if anyone had hunted with them. I have some guys wanting to go down there and hunt and I just wanted to know a little more about the operation , Before I send clients that way. Even though he is a friend I want to hear from other people first. They have several thousands of acers and other ranches in there family. They are out of chiuaua (speling may be wrong). They do coues turkey and quail.Oh and water fowl.

    Hunting Partners?

I do not want to jack the thread but arnt the cat heaters the ones made to run in your tent all night. If not they make ones now that are safe for in tent use don't they. I am looking at an 80.00 dollar heater that will set in my camp trailer and not kill me. Any way I always share a camp with the same guys year after year. I just lost a hunting partner this year to a liver sickness. He was 33 and we have been friends from the third grade on. It will be a hard year without him around us. My brother and brother in laws and all the nephews that are old enough to go are all invited. We have all hunted together for so long it is like we all know are place and how to help the team out. I do not care much about the aspect of me killing a deer so as long as someone gets one I am happy. I do the most glassing for the group and am more than happy to send them on the stock. Besides that I love those 3 to 4 hundred yard shots for my self anyways. I guess that is why I like the guiding end of hunting too because I like to help guys get deer. when you guide you do not get to choose your hunting partners and are somtimes glad to see them go when they do. So if you get a few guys together that you like to hunt with and know they will not jack your honey holes then you need to do whatever to help keep them around. And I hope you have luck in helping you friend stop smoking. just for the fact that it is not healthy.
  5. That is some cool floating or flying or whatever.

    Bow slings

I used a home made bow sling before any body made them. I took it to PSE in tucson and they said people would never use them for a bow. A year later they had a new and improved bow sling. I use them all the time. Or the bad lands pack that will pack my bow.

    mountain lions

The only thing I eat there is the chimi. Yes it is a bit greasy But lots of cat meat with no fillers . The best you can get is the geiko grill in gilbert. They have real baja mexican food. We do not want to get started on the butt licking thread again so lets drop that one. We all learned more about each other than we needed to that day. .

    mountain lions

I think your best shot at getting a lion with out dogs is to be hunting coues deer. Every year I see them and it is while hunting coues deer. coues deer to a lion must be like a realy good chimichanga from Mattas. Once you have had one you just keep going back for another. Standman great lion man. That is a cool gun I like that short of a rifle. What is the weight on that thing

    how much would you pay

Well he is my little brother but the last time we boxed in the back yard he darn near put me down for the count. And now I have a gun that will most likely set in the closet until one of my nephews or son are old enough to use it. I had it for 1 hour and had the stock fixed with one of those rubber slide over but pads it will work fine. Or I will just buy a stock out of cabelas for 80.00 for it. He is also saling a remington 338. for 400.00 or 375.00 not sure. he thinks he need the 300 ultra mag. maybe he is going to hunt elephants or something. I keep reminding him that the 243 he has killed more deer than any other gun I have owned.(when it was mine).
  11. I am looking at a gun that my brother has for sale. I know what I am paying for it but what you you pay for it. It is a rem model 700 30-06 It is only about four years old. Has the ingraved stock with the black tip on the end of the stock. It has the open sites on it also( not that important to me). It has the ammo door at the bottom also so you can unload it by droping that door and getting the rounds out that way . And not have to load and unload each round. Now for the only thing wrong with it. My brother droped it last year while hunting and the very bottom corner of the stock broke off. It is like a 1/4 inch that broke off. It is at the bottom of the shoulder piece of the butt. It is still shootable and will get a stock in the future. I do not need the gun but will buy it because I fill the need to buy another rifle and do not have a 30-06 any more. Just wondering what the used market value is on this gun.

    Lark or ARIZONA GUIDE

You may not want to hear this but I just use the basic wallmart remingtons in the green box. I have killed plenty deer with it one Elk and two mountain lions and who knows how many yotes. They shoot rabits about the same as yours did. But they make good short work of a coues deer buck. In the last four years I have shot two rounds out of my hunting box that I bought four years ago And got two deer with those two shots. That was until the year before last when I jumped the deer to top my best and got a bad case of the shoot and miss thing. Bret had some very good info for you if you like to shoot the high dollar stuff. I am to cheap for those kinds of bullets. I think lark straps a knife on the end of his 25-06 and spears his deer. You may want to work on that one before you try it on a hunt though.

    4 point coues sheds

I keep looking at this set of sheds and I tell ya what. They are going to be a great mount with the cape atached to them. I wish you all the luck in the world locating this buck with a rifle or bow this year. Like I said above I think this is the year to take him. I do not think he is showing sighns of regress, But more like you said he may have done something to it because it has more twist in it. He will be one for you to brag about for a long time. Have you got any trail cam pictures of him yet. If not I will settle for the kill pictures when that day comes. I hope it is you guys that get to take him with the time you have involved with this buck. To many times the guy that works a big buck and holds off on him to let him grow to be what he should be has to see some lucky sucker draging out his deer.

    how many coues?

Bret and I sound like we live the same life. Two for me and many for my friends family and others. I pass on atleast 15 bucks a year and I am mad about most of them. I figure were I am If I am going to pack a deer on my back that far it better be worth it. I have a 115" and abot an 85" they are both in the rifle pages I think in the page 20 area.

    Big Bucks

Here is my one liner for the day. I wish I was one of the decent men . Oh well I have to go now to see if my 200k dollars has cleared my acount for the last few cabins and houses I have plumbed here in Az. Now I can be Big and important And post pictures of everything I have taken while hunting here in my own state. And post many posts of dumb jokes and things that don't even have to do with hunting coues deer. If you go back and see the pages of crap posted by CHD from the past. I liked the posts he shared of all the deer and the good things he had to say. He has slaped us Az boy's in the face time and time again and this site. Now he wants to cry like a baby AGAIN about us. Oh well I sure injoyed this site long befor he came around and messed it up anyways. Maybe in the morning he will blow it off again and say he was depressed or drunk again Or having a hard time getting along with himself. TRY AA MY FRIEND they can help you get over the abuse problem. And when you drag jesus into you conversation make sure it is to not slam his brothers and sisters. I hope you have a good trip down the long dusty trail. I am sure thankful for the pictures of your tent and truck by the way. Very helpful to me What a sad little man. Oh yes and another dido here and then some.
  22. Great pictures Mike. Three lions together that is a dream come true right there.

    Picacho Peak Elk

Bill I know I was just trying to throw a monkey wrench in there again. You know kind of like the interbreading thing. More a joke than anything. I like this thread if you ask me it is good to hear from you guys that passed this fine tradition on to us young folks. My Grandfather Emmett Leroy Waite , and my uncles Clarence and Clinton Bigelow. spent some good time with me and my Father on the old Escudilla mountain. In fact it is not far from there I was shown a wolf by my Grandfather.

    funnels

Well with topo maps it is easy. You can see the lay of the land and the how steep a canyon is by how close the lines are to each other. You can not beat a topo when looking for funnels other than just getting out and hiking in the area. I use topos for everything I do from hunting to prospecting. I even use them for work in the form of plumbing blue prints.
