    Unit 32 Mule Deer ?

The indians on the plains used to wear bufalo hides as a way to sneak up on the bufalo and shoot them. etics or using your head. They have used bitter root on the navajo nations for liftimes as an atractent to deer ethics or using your head. Lets see now days I see guys in tree stands of all kinds and blinds of all kinds. ethics or useing your head. I see guys in full camo to stay out of sight. ethics Or using your head. I do not know and do not try to act like I know how hard anyone else on this forum hunts and scouts. ethics or using my head. I have killed a deer one time while driving down the road and saw it from the road. Does this make me unethical or was it a good idea to shoot the buck when I saw it. I also have busted my butt as well as many clients butts to find and shoot a deer.

Fagstaff. I hope you do not shoot our monster bull thinking it is the deer to top your big coues bucks you showed me. I am still in shock over a couple of those nice thick bucks you had.

    who is this guy?

It sounds to me like he will continue to hunt unlawfuly anyway. So makeing the law change to a life time revocation . will make no improvement on his issue. They must of had a tracking device under his truck all the time.
  9. It will be hard to hide a set of hornes like that. But I guess he has been doing it for a few years right.

    Unit 32 Mule Deer ?

love the area. To close to my heart strings my friend. You should have good success In any of the mule deer country in that unit. I will say this to you. Some of the biggest bucks you will find will run in the black brush. Get on the top of a hill and glass just like you do for coues deer. You will know what I mean by the black brush when you look at it. You will have to leave some one up high to guide you with radios or some hand signals. As you will not see the deer any more once you are off the hills. You will get a couple quik shots and your stalk will be done for the day. I can glass up around 10 or 12 bucks a day in that stuff and some of them have eluded us for years. Good luck finding a spot. And let me know how that info works out in your scouting trips.

    Units 30A/B

No problem. I used the trailer in new mexico a few weeks ago and it worked great. It was funny we thought we would be the only ones with one in the family and when we showed up there was already 6 of them there. All around the same year as well. It will work nice during the elk hunt. The kids call it THE CABIN.What did you draw.

    Units 30A/B

I had a huge thing typed up and hit ESC and wiped it all out. I drew a tag this year for 30B and will not use it. It was my last choice. I was born and raised in that unit. I killed a 180 class mule deer when I was 12 In that unit I am now 33. I have seen about 5 bucks in that unit that would hit that mark. None of them are still around. That area was hit hard by drought, Lions, And hunters. I hope it is on a rebound. The area West of the dragoons is owned by some dude that calls him self a rancher. He has tried sub deviding most of that area over and over again. With no luck. I hope he can't keep it much longer. If it ever comes open again you will see me out there because I know3 for a fact that he still has some record book deer on it. ( He cant keep all washes closed)!!!!! I have not hunted on it in years. It used to be known as the horse ranch. Any way there are some couse in that are as well that can be hunted but the access is hard there to. You can hunt south of there and run into lots of land closed. If you hunt most of that area you have to hike in and stay and hunt from a pack camp. I saw two very nice bucks taken that way last year. I will not say were or by who as the guy uses this forum and would probably not be happy with that. He has more bucks on his wall than me and must put the time in to his hunts as well. The unit can be the hardest hunt you could ever go on but also the most gradifying if you tag out.
  13. Now I know right were you guys are hunting because I have been glassing that toad at least once every week end. He is the samone I am sure of it. there are not bucks of that class just running around in all the areas.
  14. That is one nice bull man. I would keep my eyes on that one. I think I would shoot him if he gave me the chance. If he could get one more year on him and have a couple points grow a couple inches you would have your self one heck of a bull to hang on the wall. If he gives you the chance this year I would take him. Thanks for posting it to make us slober all over the place.

    RESULTS ARE IN

30 B coues deer tag and 27 rifle bull tag.
  24. This is why you should look at old shell casings you find smashed shut at the ends. A guy I know just sent the pictures to me they were in an old rifle casing. Almost an ounce of gold nuggets. This makes the fourth find like this this year. So make sure you look in some of those old shells you see while hunting. Wit gold setting at almost 500.00 an ounce that would pay for part of your hunt.

    Counting points

I use the same method as stanley. Most people in AZ use this method. If you are into the record book thing than you count all the points. Even most of the guys I know that Are record book hunter use the 3x4 or 4x4 not counting eye gaurds method while talking but when they count them in the books they refer to them as total points. They are all points so count them the way you want right. Dang I hope I get a Tag!!!!!!
