Savage was my guess. I have seen them do that before. The firing pin gets filed down to were it will not hold back in the fire position. The saftey position is still good. Very glad no one was in front of you. When I first ran into this isue. I was pointing out a buck to a friend and boom Right in my face . It had to have missed my head by meer hairs. . It almost ruined a friend ship right there. He never walked behind me again. Atleast it is not human error. When equipment goes down you have no say so right. Good luck in archery hunts.

After you finish with a reply before you post it hit the browes spot at the bottom and it should take you to the spot you store pics on you computer then just open that picture and it should post for you.

There is one going on on this site. It is to late to join it though. You can usualy go to hardware stores in the small towns and find out if they are having buck contests.

I know of one taken so far also. Not a big one but a good coues buck. It was out of 34B.

This subject can be very touchy to those that live in it every day. I know that chief lives down there and deals with it every day as well. I read it the same way a he did, But then again there are alot of folks down there that do not help the BP out. No matter what we all want the BP to have the help they need and the suport they need. I think that chief does as well. I have read his posts on this isue a few times. And he hates to see the land the way they leave it as well.

Pack horse you are right on with that one. When ever anyone gets to there secret spot in any of the southern units. Look real close under the trees and in the tall grass. You just might see me setting there with my binos out looking at you wondering how you wandered into my hot spot.

I am shooting for atleast one day to hunt for a buck. Our Bull elk tags overlap our deer tags so as you can guess we are spending more time on the elk than the deer. But I will look for atleast a 115 inch buck. I will gladly come home empty handed with out a buck if I do not find the one to break my old record of 115.

Scottyboy I know a few of the agents down that way. I was raised in St.David and a few of the guys from Highschool are BP. Keep up the work. It must seem hopless some times. But I for one thank you guys just like I do the armed service.

OK my brother just got a brand new 300 ultra mag it has the fluted bull barel and a brake on it. Other than the normal answer of swarovski what other scope would you recomend for that size of gun. It will tear heck out of a bushnell I know but what about the buris and nikon scopes. Any info would be a help.

This is great info to pass on to him. He had the high end busnell on his 30-06 and put it on this gun just to see what would take place. It takes him two shots to get it back on paper enough to say it is headed in the right direction and the next two shots are gone again. We put it back on the 06 and zero it right up.

they can lock it and you then have to get permision to go through. the charging thing is a bit to far i think. I would call the game and fish on that fist. Besides they can keep it to them selves i would hunt somplace else.

I see that the wide world of maps sale the hunt unit maps.Has anyone ever used them. If so are they a good map with good paper and resolution on the land scape and roads. Thank you very much for any info.

Use them to your advantage. One way is to get ahead of them in a higher location and wait for them to run something close inough for you to shoot. Another way is they may deture the illeagle trafic through your area And make it a safer hunt for you. Just remember when you shoot your deer hold tight for a while so they do not shoot you with ichy finger.

Out of the two I would buy the 17 hmr. I have heard they do a number on coyotes, But I have also heard from one guy that it took more than one shot on a couple of coyotes to bring them down. I echo what firstcoueswas80 has to say. The 22-250 is great on them and a friend of mine in high school and my sister have taken a few carp and coues with the 22-250. If you just want a new gun go with the 17 hmr.

Then just click on the picture you want to open and open it. That should put it in the browse box on the page then you just submityour post and it should add your picyures.
