I do not know anything about it. Elkmaniac asked me to post some photos of a 393 bull. Then someone else sent me the photo of this bull that looks alot like the toad we saw from a distance. so I was just posting the photo to see if this was the one he was talking about. him and his dad guided the hunter on to this bull.

Who says you need a truck?
COUESAZ replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
They should have a bad back and need hurnia surgery now. They must have had a backhoe to lift that thing. -
See Bret that is where you have it wrong it was By the tree next to the rock with a cactus by it.

Most of the big bucks I find are up against the bluffs. They do not have to watch there backs that way all they have to do is see what is coming up at them. They will most likley have a couple get away spots. I find the thick stuff to be more of a funle for them. That is why lots of bucks are killed around thick stuff like that.

You have to buy a new license at the start of a new year. If you take a buck the previous year you can hunt the January part of that season. If you take a buck in january you are done until the next year.

The game and fish said he was the second biggest they had seen. It was only the second morning of the hunt though. We got to set and wach them bucher it up and take out the limph nodes and some other stuff to test it for cwd. They did ask if we were mounting it first and when we said nope they jumped for joy to cut on it. They showed us how to age a Bull as well and were two very nice guys from down yuma way. They had been sent up to do the testing. Just wait tell I post the field Photos and you see how Big this 5 year old Bull was.

he scored 326 without deductions. He is dang near perfect though. I would say he may have a few inches taken away.double devils as well and they are nice and polished up. His body was huge. The shot was 460 yards. He hit the Bull 3 times and it just stood there. Then a final shot to the neck put him down.

I would say the monster was over 390 or bigger bull.

OK I just saw a new line of clothing at the sportsmans warehouse today. They have hats and shirts. They say shed hunter, Or bone colector. Then they have a small saying under that. One says Its like drawing a tag All year. I think Josh will buy a few for sure. Infact he may have had them made.

Why take kids hunting?
COUESAZ replied to stanley's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
Very good Stanley very Good. That goes right along with my post the other day about youth hunters. -
I would say over 85 for sure. Way to go on the buck. That is my home country there. This is my first year to not draw a tag in that unit in the last 12 years. I dre the other side of the san pedro in 30B.

I always make sure that I have a thing of water just for washing my meat down before I pack it out. I will do that once on the trip back as well to keep the meat cool. If you can keep the meat cool and clean you will notice the better the meat will taste.

I have been stung twice. It never turned purple at all. It could be the kind. I know the bark scopion is a bad dude and can get to you. what does the spot the sting took place look like now. If it is looking infected it could be a brown recluse bite. They are around in the coues deer country I have been told. good luck getting it better though.

Just buy a pair of the gaitors from sportsmans warehouse. They are the good ones that cover the top of your foot. That is the spot most people get hit. Then they go right up to your knee. They are hot and sweaty at first , But you get used to it.

You guys taking the youth out RULE in my book. My son is only 5 Years old and goes with me if the country is easy enough for him. They say that 95% of hunters today are over the age of 33 years old. Not real good numbers for the future of hunting in my book. Please continue to take your kids and anyone elses kids you can out in the field with you. We need them for our future as well. I have seen some great bucks taken buy some great kids, Being shown the ropes by some even greater older hunters. Keep it up guys.

You beat me to it. Very nice buck. I like those mule deer from up there.
