I do not right now. It is behind the fence and behind two other trailers so i will try to pull it out and get some photos.

so what would you tell the mother of a guy i knew that was walking down the road and was killd by a rattle snake. There were two other guys with him and they said they did not even see the snake until after the guy yelled that something just bit him on the legg. I do not by the argument that snakes will only bite you if you prevoke them. Another time while i was deer hunting i had one strike at me with out a rattle or any warning and the thing got me in the snake gaiters. Thank heavens i had them on that day.I have come across many hot and agressive rattle snakes that have needed no prevoking. Am i just that much meaner looking than those of you that fill they are afraid of us. You guys can handle a catch as many as you like, But as for me and my house we will shoot and ask qustions after the thing is streched out across the road.

Well he has an 04 dodge 1500 4 door 4x4 with a big lift and all that crap on it and get 6 - 9 mpg right now. Plus the 600 a month payment. With a new baby around he needs to cut down on something and i told him i would get rid of the truck payment first. then gass will not hurt as bad. The truck only has 70 k on it and a friend of ours said he would let him have it fo 3400.00 so i think it is a good deal. And the thing drives like it is new.

That will teach him to atleast look around for cameras next time he trys to get a lunch time quiky . And he needs to read the sighn on the club door befor just going in to have a few drinks.

I agree Bill I have never come across a rattle snake in the white mountains. Not even along black river and i have fished and hiked it for 20 years. In the one photo of the elk it looks like a deer or antelope in the back ground. (matbe it is a Jackalope). My kids a beging to head up to big lake and black river before school starts. We need to go try out our new trailer as well.

Do any of you own the Alaknak tent or big horn tent from cabelas. I am looking for a tent for the family. I do not need another wall tent but i am looking at those two tents for when we do not want to take the camp trailer with us. I am looking to see how many they will sleep and how they are at staying dry and warm.

I ate at junes last time i was up there, But this time i had no time to stop i wanted to be headed back before the sun went down so i could see some wildlife. The cabin is by the turn off to the fire dept. You just wind way around back in there to it. I am done and now it is pay off time. I can't wait to have that fat check in my hand.

I am just finishing a cabin i was plumbing in Heber. I was on my way home at around 5:00 pm. I saw 25 Elk, One nice Bull. I saw atleast 50 head of Deer. And one Old Black bear. I got within 30 yards of the bear. The reason i think it was old is i think it was almost blind. I huffed at it and it stood straight up and looked around. I was wearing a white shirt so i thought it could see me. it just stood there looking around for what was making the noise. It scrached it chest with a paw and then got back down on all fours and just walked further down the canyon.

I could just see someone hiking around with one straped to his back out looking for coues deer.

My buck on page 20 of the rifle hunting pictures only has half an ear on the right side.

Love them Crab claws. And i have seen a few like that in that area down there.

It is the ear on the left side. And it may have been a close call from a lion or something that took the top off the ear.

If there are deer there are lions. It is hard to find cat sighn unless you are in soft dirt or a wash. And if it is in a wash they will travle the very edge so they can hide fast for ambush. I will second the lion kill by the nose being gone like that. They bite the nose and it will sufacate or drown the deer in its own blood that way.

Muskrat you drew a great tag for sure. You should not have a hard time locating a buck. I am with the guy that said to get away from every one. and to hunt the lower fingers those are some well used escape rutes in that area. I have set and watched it take place. I have watched a big old coues buck run clear out in the flats right past some mule deer and he was still moving fast when i lost site of him. Most of them will hold up when they think they are safe and far away , But not this guy. He turnd mule deer and headed for the low lands. If you have not spent any time down there. You will find that you realy like it alot. The area holds some very very nice coues bucks.

I have seen full sets of moose antlers come up the lugage shoots at sky harber. They were not split at all. They were not even wraped up. Just the actual skull plate was shrink wraped. The carabue would make me nervous because they are weaker.

i wonder if the one on the right side of dan's first post is an old buck that was not producing much horn any more a an injured buck. The base is bigger and shaped funny.

Sportsman will get most of my coin. I have had very good help there when i need it. There is not a time i go in that they are almost pushy with trying to help me out. I even had a guy get out the new wayne carlton bugle and dang near embarase him self trying to show me how it works. The only complaint i have with sportsmans is to return something is a chore. My friend had a pair of boots than wore out in a month of dove hunting. He took them back and they would not work with him. The soles were falling off. If you go into the bargin cave at cabelas you will se they trake anything back. That was my favorit place in the whole store. Cabelas was cool don't get me wrong but for the one hour drive to them compaired to the 2 minute drive to the sportsmans in mesa. It is a no brainer who will get most of my money. (wallmart)

I just got the nikon monarch 12x42 for my brother in law for his birthday and they are a great glass. I have looked through the 10x42s last elk season and they are a great glass as well. I think i will replace my old trusty binos with the 10x 42s and the 12x 56's as soon as sportsmans gets them in. Cabelas had them on thursday but i will not make the drive just for those.
