You should be fine. I know survival freaks that just use the Tablets and it is OK. It is mainly animal waste that conaminates water sources so just get the chunks out and you should be ok. Good luck on your pack hunt. They are a blast and more work than you will ever want to do again all rolled into one. And next year you will want to do it all over again. Go figure.

I have looked at them the last few times i have gone to sportsmans WH. If you are looking to haul your toys and have a place to sleep. theyt should work just great. They have some good add ons to make your camp as well. I thought about getteing one to haul as far as the truck would be taken and then hook it to the ATV and haul it in farther. Atleast it gets you off the ground and in a canvas tent. Why don't you go get one then tell us what you think.

Blizzard. Why would we all want to see a dairy queen treat. . Oh maybe you are talking about something that hapens in other areas than here.

We have a pre determend spot and as long as nobody has taken it then we know the spot. We have scouted the area enough and have our plan down and ready to rock. We set up the first day and then that evening we check and see what camps have been set up in what spots. The next morning starts our hunt. We will scout all this morning and spend more time looking around the area to see if any camps look like they may mess up our plans. The next morning at day light will usualy find us glassing and preparing a stalk or a shot on a Buck. This year we have five tags to fill so we have our work cut out for us.

I looked at this tent at sportsman when they had them set up on the tent floor up stairs. It is a very well made tent.

Have you never drawn a Zoo tag. Gosh you can not get away from people in that unit. In most cases the only other person i see is my self in the reflection on my bino eye peices. And my brother. And maybe some of the packin hornes and Mullins guys on the ridge across from me.

I have a kaytadyn and like it. I think they all take a bit of time to use and fill your bottles or bladder. And they can all break in use. The most important thing is to keep the fill hose and the suck hose in seprate bags so you do not contamanate the filler tube. If you were as tuff as Lark you could drink out of a muddy hoof print and be OK.

That stinks. Nothing more you could have done. Tell him what you think and go get the bull. It sounds like you had the right idea about what the Elk would do. That alone prooves that you are a better hunter than MR blowhard. He may have come in closer to you and he may have stayed right in that spot until night or he was kicked up. So in all do respect to you this MR blow hard was a blessing to you because he saved you the heart ache of setting there and spending more time to find out what you found out after the guy jumped him to you right. You know the quality of hunter when they come right up to you while you are setting an area to begin with. My brothers bull last year was beeing stalked by him and three other hunting groups. When my brother took this bull. He was then aproached and congradulated by the other hunting parties. That is true sportsman for you. None of us knew the others where stalking until after the bull was down. The funny thing was that i was the spotter and the other two parties spotters were with in 50 yards of me and none of us knew the other was there. Had we known that they had watched this bull all morning as well and had a man on the stalk we would have pulled off and spotted another i know that with out a question.

Oh man. You are right. I look at every shell even when i buy them brand new. I come right home and make sure they are all 25-06. it is easy to make a mistake like this but only takes a few seconds to make sure it does not take place. Thank you for the reminder.

Hey Jim i bought a pair of the Snake gaitors that are the softer cloth. They go to my knees and cover over my top of the foot. they say most snake bites are to the top of the foot. They took just a bit to get used to but I would rather have them on then get nailed by old Buzz tail. I only use them in certain areas and high grass is one of those. They are light weight and sometimes go in my pack for the bad areas.

I use a 5x14 for two quads and lots of extra camping gear. who evr gets this trailer is going to like it .

I have a 78 CJ5 on the side of my house that i put on it's side once just like that. Three of us pushed it back over and away we went. (the jeep is for sale by the way)

I will be headed back up that derection looking for Gold After my deer hunt in November.

Well he was a hunter of sorts. Steve the croc hunter was killed today while filming in the oacen. Looks like he was killed be a sting ray. Sad day for his family.

I have always use Badlands, But you will not go wrong with either one they are both great pack makers. It all depends on the one that fits your frame and build the best. And what one has the options you like.

Ft.Thomas come on now. That is as bad as me admiting to be from ST.David. DO you guys still play football games in the heat of the day. Or do they have lights around the field and play at night now. I used to hate playing there for that fact and the bull hornes on the field would bring tears to your eyes just thinking about going down on them. Very Nice corner Danny. Nice to see the mule deer buck as well. I got drawn for Mule deer in 27 in the november hunt. So i have been buying all the mule deer videos trying to get excited about hunting them again. I will be in saford next weekend to remodel 2 bathrooms in a house. I hope to get some time to go glassing the lower hills around MT grahm. That is were my dad used to hunt when he was on the police department there when i was 8. so it will be nice to see the country again.

My danner boots have lasted three seasons. And i am very hard on boots. they are not the best looking boots anymore but they are still holding together just fine.

Man that thing is Unreal. WOW that is all i can think to say. And i hope he lets you take it to Amanda or someone to have it measured out.
