Well then share it with us. From what i read about the guy on this site is that evryone here has the upmost respect for the man. I hope that it is not a devestating story that will make me fill like crap about saying this, But i do not see the point of your post MR.Dave. I hope you do know him so you can tell him for all of us that we hope all is well and hope he returns fast to his health and I hope all his family is well as well.

We only saw a few unit 27 bulls that were busted up this year as well.

Top one is a mule deer and the other two look to be Coues deer.

It is a shame to see those deer locked up behind a gate. I am sure amanda is not a suporter of this site or the way they run there operation. It sure is strange how some of those bucks start to pass on the freak hornes when they are locked up and implanted like they are.

Well i am out of here at 11:30 today on the way to unit 27. We have four mule deer tags and it should be a fun hunt with the other 700 hunters in the area. Fill you all in when i get backnext week.

Well we saw some toads and just could not get the sneek on them. They were glassed up and with my six year old son with me we just did not get on them before they would be gone out of site. It was still my best hunt ever to share it with my son. My brother taged out on a nice 4x4 and i will try to get some photos posted in the next day or two. My two brother in laws are headed back up next weekend to see if theyt can tag out. I am going to help a hunting Partner out on his hunt instead of going up for my last week end. We did 6 bulls that i would love to try and wrap a tag around there antlers. And out od the six only one was busted up. Man i sure missed hunting my coues this year though. Now that my bro has got the mule deer thing taken care of it will be time to get very ready for coues next year.

Who has one and what do you like about them. I am wanting one because i think it will fit my family and the yamaha and arctic cat will not. I want to be able to have three per seat. Now my kids are small and will not be with me at all times, But when i do take them on some short rides in the mountains i want to be able to load them all on and go. They are 8, 6,3,and 4 months, and then my wife and I.

I have had many polaris quads and they have all worked great. They are a bit cold blooded but they run great. The two strokes are the only one i would never get again.

Well I am on my way out the door with my four children to go trick or treating. Yes i will have a full back pack for my hunt the next two weekends.

Sounds like more of a Fan tail coues. Was it a buck with a small basket rack by chance.

I will be honest here I shot a mule deer buck at 490 yards And droped it dead with that one shot. I shot a coues buck at 415 and missed the first shot and he stood there and i shot again and killed it with the second shot. When you have grown up hunting coues as long as i have you come to be a good shot at long ranges. Most of my shots are 300 and lower.

Good job Scott. I know exacly how it is. In my mind i say i am not going to hike that far to get a deer. Then i find myself glassing out that far. And in my mind i still say i would not hike that far today for a deer. Then I see a buck or two and off we go. It does not seem to look as far when there is a coues buck with a nice set of horns on it. Then after the shot you start to rethink your every move getting to this spot and you think Great now i have to hike that far just to get this Buck the heck out of here. Once again great hunt. I will be up in 27 AZ for a mule deer hunt. We are heading out tuesday. We have 4 tags to fill and i will have to remember that i am not huntin coues.
