Identifying objects with a scope
COUESAZ replied to justanotherpunk's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I always give them a free look at my naked back side. The worst part about it is they usualy have a set of binos around there neck . -
I had heard word that a husband wife outfit had been busted for something , But i was not sure if this was the same story or not. You have to stay leagle. Make sure you are properly insured and have the right permits for guiding in the areas you are guideing. Pay your taxes and stay up on them and you should be fine. Taxes are a tricky thing. Like Josh said lots of guides and outfitters out there that are good , But many more that are not. IMHO. I have family and friends from up on the mountain so when i say this i am just joking with them. I always say it is only in that phone books that you see Joes Plumbing & guide service, Mike auto repair and Outfitter service. You go to a round valley football game and talk like you are an out of state hunter and you will go away from that game with a card from every one at the game for there guide service. Remember i am just busting chops of people i know well.

When i am in the field i use my binos whith the crooked horn strap set up and one of the cloth bino pouches that just slide over the binos while they are on you. There is a strap that keeps it hooked to you so it does not fall to ground when you are glassing. It has a little front pouch to hold my cleaning stuff as well.

Yes i just looked in my neighbors Jayco and his bars are mounted onto decorative board and a bit longer than each bar. So that is what i was thinking they did that for. There is a spot for tv's in two spots one above the dinet and one in the bed room. So i bet they forgot to run the wire until it was to late. I might just have my brotherinlaw build me a door to put on the tv spot above the dinet anyways as we do not use it for a tv. We use it for storage and a door would be nice. I am also thinking about having him build drawers to under the bottom bunk and under the master bed. They are just open space that you have to lift the beds up to stor stuff in them. When we could use the drawer space for clothing. With four kids space is very important. I am a freak about the trailer being a mess when we are using it. That is part of the reason we picked this trailer as we could sleep all our family and not have to make the table into a bed every night. (Unless my Mom goes with us).

Ok so now for the cure. What is the best way to clean off the old with out hurting the rubber roof. I will go get the sealant at camping world today. Should i redo all the areas on the roof or just this one they all look great except the one on the fridge vent. Also what do you think of the antena wire did they forget to do it right and had to put it under the vent cover as an after thought. I like the R vision trailers but i do find some very poor finish work in some areas. Like the bathroom wall between the bathroom and the bunks would move a full inch evry time the door was opened or closed. So i took some quarter round molding And some very strong adheasive i use in bathroom work and my small nailer and fixed it. It is solid as a rock now. What is the best way to hang the tp roll hanger and towl bar and tothbrush holder on the wall. I will not hit studs when i hang them. Should i use dotties or just screw them right to the wall. This trailer is a 2002 but was only used one time and none of that was ever put up. Thanks again for all your help. This is what takes place when i do not draw a tag.

Hey thanks for your help. After seeing that big crack in the sealant on the fridge vent I think that is the place the water is getting in. There is about a foot of sealant that has split along it. When i climbed up to see what was leaking it was raining like a cow peeing on a flat rock. The lightning was just looking for some dumby on a roof to hit. Good to know that the awning material is that cheap. I will not buy the cover in that case. Man i don't care what the word is around the Payson, Star valley area you are a good guy to have around.

I am also going to slip some of that hard plastic cable cover over the cable it is getting sun rot very bad. Another question i have is are the trailer covers worth the money. I am woried about my Awning getting sun rot and all the plastic covers on the roof will rot and i will have to replace them all. I know I know always questions.

HEre are som photos of the cable and antena set up. The one you may see the small cuts i made to let the water drain. The other photo is showing a cracked vent top for the fridge and a bad split in the sealant around that. I did not see that before so it just might be coming through that crack.

It is a rubber. It is not like silicon i use in my bathroom renovations but more like a rubbery glue. When i cut the little drain channels it was still very plyable stuff. I will take a look at the other spots on the roof to see if i can find any locations that look like they may need fixing. I show no sighn of leaks on the inside of the unit at all but being a plumber and renovation speacialist i understand water can run along ways and find the smallest littl hole. The one thing i did while it was leaking during the rain was rais the antena and the watter came in faster. I have two outlets for tv's so maybe the one that goes down the other spot under the vent goes to the tv spot in the front end of the trailer. I may take some photos and post them for you also.

GH I do not know if i asked you this yet or not. When it rained on us last time. some drips were forming on the crank handle on the inside of the Television antena. The wire was my first thought but the wire runs over uner the vent for the fridge and goes down and is siliconed up as well. The water seemed to just pool up on the base plate of the antena its self, So i cut a few canels in the silicone so it can drain. It would have like half an inch of water setting on it. The whole set up is the kind that you crank with the white handle on the inside and you can pull down on the first plate and it will spin the antena around so you can adjust to pick up servic better. I do not even need the antena as we do not use the trailer to watch TV in ya know. but it is there so i need to do something to fix it.

You are right it is not the strong hold. the stronghold was my back yard growing up.

Way to go man. That is my favorite unit for coues deer. I grew up just on the other side of the river in 30B. I did not put in for that area this year, but i just might next year.

Well i headed up north today. All the way there i saw truck after truck pulling trailers and quads. Every one seemed to be so glad to have drawn a tag this year. Every gear packed truck i passed seemed to look at me with a smile , BUt behind that smile i know they silently said HAHA WE GOT A TAG AND YOU DID NOT. Well i got to forest lakes and hooked up to my camp trailer and for a moment i even felt as if i was going to go hunting or something. I hitched the truck and as i did i felt as though i was being watched by something. So i turned around to see cow elk heads lined under the butcher trailer in forest lakes right next to my trailer. Yet another slap in the face saying HAHA you have no tag. So i headed off the rim with trailer in tow back to the valley of the sun, Because our storage time has come to an end for the season. As i am headed off the rim I am passed by not one but two trucks with BULLS in the bed. Not very big ones but BULLS none the less. They had the meanest little smiles as if they said HAHA YOU DID NOT DRAW ANY TAGS. I wish i could wish all you tag holders good luck but after all that abuse i just can't make myself say it. SO G_ _ D L_ _ _ _ to you guys the next few weeks. Maybe i will sleep in the trailer tonight and wake up early and build a small fire in the back yard and act like i am going hunting. And casey if you say it i will hunt you down and remove the tires from your truck.

Who doesn't wear camo when rifle hunting?
COUESAZ replied to ElSavior's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I wear it so i do not have to wear my regular every day clothing. And yes it does work to break up your outline to Animals. I killed more deer out of camo than in camo also but i do believe it works. -
257wby I just might take your tripod. Is this price for the whole thing the tripod and pistol head. If so let me know what area you are located in and i will talk to the boss about buying it. We have a photography company that she runs doing wedding photos and family photos for people. We ar also getting into wildlife photagraphy and videos as a family so another big heavy tripod will help us out alot.

Then another friend is a field service guy. i left Empire about 6 years ago. now i run my plumbing company.

I am looking for someone that makes custom fit hats. I have worn Cowboy hats most my life. I am looking to have one made for my hunting hat. I have one made in my mind but in all my years of looking i have only found one and my wife said no way becaus it was used and she thought it was sick.
-
I would not give Empire any money out of my pocket. HAHAHA I used to work for them here in mesa. And a good friend of mine and a couple couisins still work there. I am looking for a cross between the two of the ones in the photos. but not with that ugly silver band. This will be for my hunting and camping trips only. I do not wear one evry day anymore. The ones i have work fine but i am always on the look out for that one hat that will be the right one. oops the photo did not work again
-
I steam mine also. I use a tea pot on the stove. The thing is i want one with a little smaller crown and brim. kind of like the GUS hat from lonsome dove but not with the slopped top. or even like wayne carltons , but his has the slopped top also and i don't like that top on me.
