Rosemont Mine
COUESAZ replied to SilentButDeadly's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
It is not just those in the mining field that suffer and lose jobs. It is a whole community that loses jobs. If miners go away it is less people to buy food, clothing, meds, cars, gas, and need the people in the credit world. So yes the price of copper and gas are the same. People make a living off the sale of both. the trouble is that the mining is right here in the USA and most of the oil is coming from out of the US. Copper makes our money worth something as well. I am a plumber and have had to go to using Pex pipe because of the price of copper but i still want those in the mining industry to be able to survive. And i am talking about those working in the mines not owning the mines. -
I am selling a 2003 gravely made trailer it is 5X14 and has the 2 foot tall mesh sides they call it the landscaper style. It has a drop gate on it to load quads in. it fits 2 full size 4x4 quads on it with room for some gear as well. Asking 1200.00

Rosemont Mine
COUESAZ replied to SilentButDeadly's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
The mines have a strict reclamation program i believe. My father in law that works at the copper mine in thatcher used to help on the reclamations. As a Recreational miner I like to see the prices rise like they did this last year. But my family does not rely on it. I have two brother in laws and a father in law that do rely on it to live. I agree that to say we like to see the price drop in ignorant at the least. I am a plumber and buy my lunch every day with scrap copper money. So it is the difference between Carls JR bbq burger or the dells deal at dell taco. with out mine we would be worth nothing as a country. We need the working man in this country. Folks that mine, drive cross country trucks, fix our plumbing, fix our electrical, AC in AZ. I am for Jobs for the working man. As much as i hate to see land gone from hunting i would rather see people working and not waiting for our new pres elect to save them. This is a touchy issue and not good or bad either way. -
My sister is selling a chest freezer. It is a galaxy freezer from sears. I think it measures 29 inches deep except in the back by the motor it is 19 inches deep inside. And an inside length of 2 feet and width of 1.5 feet give or take a few inches. She is asking 100.00 for it. It is in brand new out of the box condition. let me know and i will put you in contact with them. And my mom is selling a great washer and dryer set for 225.00 It is only a couple years old and only used about 12 times. They are the commercial grade and size drums. they dryer is gas. They are a off white color. Maybe even a lite bone. not almond. 1 sliding shower door i removed after a year of use. The thing looks brand new still 40.00. A set of end tables with a coffee table. They each have a drawer in them. And one dark brown color love seat for 75.00 in very good condition as well.

I shoot from my hiking stick or my shooting sticks that are light weight. I have shot from the crook in trees and off a boulder. I have off my pack and across my brothers back. But i do not need or have room for anything else to pack around. My tripod that goes in my pack would not hold my rifle very well. I am all about light weight stuff.

If he is 14 and you want him to hunt by himself then have at it. I was shooting birds and rabbits out by my self long before 14. I hope he enjoys the hunts being by your self can make for some great learning times.

Hey Garrett Good to see you on the site bud. Once again congrats to you on a great buck. Keep on learning all you can from your Dad. He has taught you well already but all you learn from him will make you a better hunter and then you can pass it on down someday.
-
Great basket buck man. A true 4x4 that is hard to find in my experience hunting coues deer for the last 20 some years. I hope you get to mount that buck because it will make a pretty mount.

When i am getting my pictures with my buck this year i am going to keep an eye over my shoulder for sneaky Christian. That guy sneaks up in allot of photos lately. Keep an eye out for that CW.COM t-shirt model guys.

I think John was talking more about the remark that i do not want my 8 year old son to read when he looks at the forum with me. The sad thing is that john would buy it from you. He has purchased a few things from me. including a quad and a camper. He is a good guy other than trying to low ball my high ball bid to plumb his cabin. And wow what a nice cabin.

They see to many people every day to freak out to much.

Well i take it back about the busted tines I see it has a couple tips busted off. That just goes to show that there is some other bulls roaming around with more antlers busted off from that guy.

I only use a stool when glassing from the road or close to the road. Once i am off on foot i use a pad that is like the self inflating stuff. it rolls up tight and take very little space. I will find a rock outcrop or tree to lean back on if i need to relax while glassing. The less i pack in is the less i have to pack out with the added weight of my Buck.

I say you did what you could. Win some you lose some. You will have a story to tell for ever and photos to go with it. You have seen photos of people finding Deer and Elk stuck in holes like that and always wonder "how did that elk get stuck in that hole." well now we all know so thanks for showing us.

One reason that bull is not busted up from the rut. MASS. great bull.
