Maybe someone did not like what i said. My post seems to not be here anymore. Anyways i will not say it again. The clean ups are great. The thing with hunters who care is it is a not for profit that is set up to do it. And it atracts eyes looking at hunters doing this. If it is just a group of guys running out and doing it than it is not as seen. I think it is important for others to see who is doing it.

You all need to listen to Treestandman. He has hunted from a treestand for along time and he knows his stuff. The good and the bad.

I do not know how i did not see that he stood there for that long. But you are right that is not as much blood when you think of it being that long in a spot. I am glad you saw him again. Maybe this next trip you can finish it out. Good luck.

I would say that by the way that splatter is that, that is blood with force behind it. Are you sure the second time you saw the buck it was the same buck you shot. That is a good amount of blood for a deer to act like nothing was wrong with it. Hard to tell by the photos but it looks like dark blood. ANyways that buck should be done for now with that much blood trail.

I have no desire to hunt from a tree stand. I also have no desire to hunt the same spot someone is hunting. Most tree stand hunters are not hunting when i do. I do not bow hunt right now. I say move on and find another location. The law does not allow them to stay up all year, But it is not enforced in most cases i bet. But in the end it is first come first served so do as you will. I would also be ready for a heated confrontation, I know those guys think it is there spot. Once again i would move on.

Great job on the Pig. The only thing I see wrong is the choice of UofA stuff. HAHAHA

Like the rifle stock I have only seen two like that. One was a 22 lr and the other was a 25-06.

Man Jim even your pigs die on top of rocks man. Great job on your pig. You even made that pig photo look good. That is a chore all on its own.

My brother in law has killed 2 bucks between 90 to 100 yards with his bow. He can hit dead center on a basket ball every shot at that distance. Me on the other hand would be better off trying to club it with a bow at 2 feet.

Oh man you have a few things to learn my friend. If you saw the two football birds, You had to b close to the deer. I hope you have better luck this trip.

Glad to see you posted it for the rest of us coues fans. There are a few on the other site that dream of coues deer, But the ones that truly love them are on this site also. Like CMC, RON G and JLG spend time on here.

I do remember Bill telling me it was a heck of a shot. And yes you let Bill do what he wants or you may get the smack down. He is like my brother, All i have to say is I bet you cant pack this deer from here to the top of the canyon. And the rest is easy for you because they will show you they can pack it all the way to the truck. Good luck with the claw. I am sure it will help many of us out. I deal with alot of first time shooters and have had them shoot from the tripod many times and not conect. No matter what they always want to pull the shot or see where the bullet hit. The claw seems it would help make a much cleaner shot for a shooter like that for sure. This year i shot my coues buck on the run so it would have been extra weight in my pack, But the final shot to put him out of sufering was done from the top of my tripod. By that time i was sufering my self from the rush and i had the shakes. I was thinking how nice it would be to be able to lock the rifle on so i could be sure to put the finishing shot on this buck for his sake. After all we owe it to them to make a clean first shot.

He has packed out a few bucks on his back for me.I need to call him and get his thoughts on the claw. That guy is all about the shot. My wife baby sat Jeremy's oldest daughter. I never heard how his hunt went. I think last i heard he got drawn for his first hunt with you guys. I bet he could pack out a whole heard of bucks by his self. Good luck with the claw. They have the nikon one at bass pro. I use it. You can not leave it on your binos all the time. I do not leave it on the tripod either. It goes inside the pouch on my bino system. It is only 20.00 so money well spent to me.It also gives you another four inches of hight for standing while useing a tripod.

All i can say is i am sure he passed his goal of 110. What a buck guys. Congrats!!!!

You have to remember that the arow inside him is just cutting him worse and worse with every move. He will lay down and stove up for sure. He may survive the night but should not be far from your contact point with him. I hope you guys find him.

You can only take one deer a year in AZ. Some may take more than that by going to NM or Mexico to hunt them. You can have a Archery tag and a Rifle tag. But once you fill one the other is no good any longer.
