    had a frightful experience

It did a number on your Grandpas truck. I know, I live a couple houses down from him. We saw it towed in that night. And the next morning my wife said it looks like he hit some one in the rear end. I looked at it and said yep a deers rearend. It folded that bumper on his truck right under. Glad you guys are OK. We will have to talk somtime. I live in the house that is beeing painted ugly green ( in my opinion). I have the white Dodge truck with the cargo trailer hooked to it right now out front of the house. We are headed up to forest lakes area with out camp trailer this weekend. This raises my awareness a little more for the trip. I already drive so slaow pulling my trailer up there at night. much slower and i might start rolling backwards. HAHA.

    Work

You must think you need this pup bad. You sold all your hunting gear and now looking for daily work just to get a new pup. I suport you for your hard work so far. I wish you well in your search for work. Glad to see your Dad wants you to earn your way in this world.
  4. No No I heard the Lion was from Texas. The deer was from Arizona. They were both on vacation in New Mexico.

    Unit 29 and bears

Just put it up in the bed of your truck. I was thinking you were talking about packing in. It does not take to much time to hoist your back pack up a tree. I do this when packing in more for skunk troubles. If i am camping in main camp with trucks i keep a clean camp and just put the ice chest in the bed of the truck that will not be going into the field. I never have food or snacks in my sleeping quarters. Then the bears never have a need to put a new door in my tent. You should be fine.

    Found Some Deer

Says killed by a cadilac under the mount. I hit a huge bobcat with my truck one year between threeway and safford. I picked it up and was going to mount it on top of a length of tire tred and have a plate on it that said Road kill cat.

    Waterholes and "Loitering"

Hey do not hammer us prospectors. With gold worth what it is per ounce it can get touchy out there. I am not kidding when i say there are shots being fired. Claim jumping is not a smart thing to do right now.
  15. I would be facing the big hill in the background at first light ready to glass. I will tell you that more than one hunter on here may know that water hole. There is no such thing in country like that as a new secret spot. Just my opinion on that. If you want to find a secret spot then you will learn to locate those spots holding Coues that you would think should not have coues deer in them. I think your spot has some deer in it for sure, and i would look in the location i said. This will get you away from the guys that will drive the road. They are useing that hole to drink and then they head back to the area they will bed and eat.

Worst elk hunt I ever had

Hunters have been shot in many states by other hunters. I see plenty of hunters in Orange vests and hats. A bit easyer to see. I will not wear them but many people do. I bet i almost get hit on the freeway atleast 10 times a day by people with Obama stickers on there cars but i will still drive my truck each day. Anyways if you give up Archery do not take up rifle i do not want anymore competition on tags. Glad you are both OK and to bad you could not have got ahold of the jerk that should not be hunting. Teach him a little bit about life.

    34b

There are bear in 34B. There are a couple big boys in there as well. We tryed to hut a big one that would tear up water tanks on a ranch in 34b. He would get to playing with the float that let water go in when the water would reach a certain level the float shuts the water off. Then it would make him angry i guess. he would tear the crap out of the tanks. I only saw him one time. His scat was as big as my foot. Lot and lots of lions as well so have a tag and know how to use it. HAHAHA.

    found some dogs

Well atleast you got to kill some yotes man. Was that close the sot i told you about. We have always had luck on yotes in those finger ridges going south off the mountain. I know there are some big bucks in that area. You just have to be lucky enough to glass them when they move to get back in the shade. They will lay right down in those wash out spots. I saw a bug 5x5 one day. It was in a real thing wash that was anot to wide to jump over on foot. It was right in a bend with a small tree over it. I saw that buck stand up and stretch and then lay right back down in the crack in the ground again. You would never have seen him if he did not stand while your glass was right on him. He was on a road that headed south to the tracks just by that power sup station on the way to the peaks. Are the gates locked when you get right at the base of the mountain range.
