If you reload you can always load some 110-130 grain projectiles to soften the recoil a bit...

Up for sale or trade is a 302 Ford core engine for rebuilding. Comes with all of the brackets and accessories in case you want to do a swap. Unknown mileage but engine turns over with a ratchet. Comes with a 2 Ton Cherry Picker in excellent condition not pictured. Looks like the stock photo but it does not fold up. Bolt together model. Asking $650 or possible trades. Have fork lift and it's on a pallet to load into your truck. I will extend the offer to refund a CWT member $100 if for some reason the Block is not usable. Good cores are getting hard to find. There's 4 blocks at the Shop I work at that did not pass inspection and are scrap so I know something about it unfortunately. Pick up is around 35th Avenue and Thomas.

Comes with 23 rounds of Winchester Power Plus HV 180 grain, 14 rounds of Winchester Ballistic Silver Tip 180 grain, 2 unknown rounds, and 4 pieces of Nickel Brass. $400 for all of it. I think it has to do with the pressures involved between 30-06 and 45-70? I don't think I've ever seen a Contender barrel in 30-06 but maybe I'm wrong? Very nice piece!
