    WTB Remington model 600 7m-08

I have a Remington Model 7 CDL with a Timney Trigger and a 4.5X14X44 Burris Ballistic Plex scope that I am looking to sell. Gun is flawless with about 140 rounds through it, the trigger was installed and verything trued up by a local gunsmith. I have not had time to list it yet but I was going to this weekend, the reason for selling it is I need to help fund my optics on my long range rifle. If interested PM me and I can send you pictures etc. I will be asking 750.00 OBO.

    Toy Hauler for sale

I need to down size...Toy hauler is in excellent shape. Does not have an on board generator or fuel station but will let my portable 6250 watt generator go with it. Both have only been used about 6 times and it has been mostly stored indoors. High book is 17,800 and low is 14,600 as equipped. Will fit a Polaris Ranger no problem, have had mine in it twice. I need to get 14,000.00 If you would like to look at it, it is located in the north west valley, just let me know.

Making room for a new project

OK final price reduction on the 338 with bipod (both the gun and the bipod are brand new with zero rounds fired). If nobody wants it then I guees i will keep it. The gun and the bipod for $1500.00. This price is around $700.00 less than what you would spend if you purchased them at a shop and that is a heck of a deal. Thank you for looking and good luck in the draw.

Down to one left, the ultimate long range shooter. The new harris bipod alone cost 100.00+ so your getting a 2000.00+ taxes weapon for 1600.00. Check out the ballistics and the history of the round. Amanda - Site donation coming your way.

    My First Speed Goat!!!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! IMO that is the hardest animal to harvest with your bow. You probably don't realize it but I am probably the second or maybe third person to know you shot that nice speed goat..... AWESOME job and be safe (you will know what I mean).

    Considering bullet change

Great round, I also use a 257 WM for my deer hunting. Based on previous experience on multiple Coues deer out to 400 yards I am not very pleased with the 115 Ballistic Tips. On two seperate bucks with an impact point on the shoulder blade the bullets completely blew up. No exit wounds on either deer and bullet fragments all over the chest cavity. The round is great for getting the job done however, it always dulls the experience when you bite into a tenderlion and spit out a shiny blue piece of the ballistic tip..... I agree with Casey and say stick to a more sturdy bullet and as previously mentioned, one that your rifle is accurate with. I myself will be changing to the Accubond or the VLD's from now on. Good luck on whatever route you choose.

    Selfbow huntN (anyone on here).

Man, I love the picture!!! Best of luck with your bow. I can only imagine the satisfaction you get after making your own bow and using it to harvest an animal. Great job!!

    Huge Coues

Found this large shed in southern Arizona this fall. His G2 is 10.75" and he is missing some bone off of the G3 and G4. What do you think he would score if both sides matched and how old do you think the shed is??

    Pranks

Well I have one that truly stands out over the years spent in the field. It was probably about 15 years ago when we drew a tag in 12B and we were so excited that we decided to go up and scout around in late summer. We took 2 trucks just in case we had any mechanical issues. We drove up early in the morning and spent all day pounding the roads and checking tanks. At about sundown we decided to pull into some cedar trees and crash for the night. We were all drinking a few beers before calling it a day and that is when the star of the prank decided to show up.... A very small bat was flying around and decided we were interesting so he stuck around us for quite a while, sometimes getting so close you could have reached out and grabbed him. Well this went on until it started getting too dark to see him anymore and we decided to turn in for the night. I am sure you guys have all pulled the same scouting trips where you just throw a pad and a sleeping bag in the truck and go. Everyone had just got in their bags and was going to sleep when I noticed I had a cedar branch leaning over my side of the truck. I reached up and pulled a small clump of cedar off the branch and told the guy that was in my truck to watch. I tossed the cedar over into the other truck parked beside mine, what happened next was the result of a lucky toss. The cedar flew through the air and landed on the neck of one of my buddies in the next truck. I have NEVER seen someone in a sleeping bag go from horizontal to vertical in one motion, the sleeping bag was still around his chest for a moment and then fell to his feet as he was screaming like a little girl grabbing his neck and beating his chest and head violently with his hands. The other guy in his truck jumped up too and was freaking out because he did not know what was going on. He kept asking him what is wrong. All the other guy could get out was he bit me, he bit me. What bit you he asked, the BAT was the reply, the BAT bit me on the neck. They were both freaking out looking for the bat in the back of thier truck. Me and the guy in my truck about passed out from laughing so hard. This story has brought alot of laughs in our camps over the years.

    Huge Coues

Josh, How much area should I be covering from where I found the shed in order to find the match? I know you have a lot of experience in this area and your input might help me locate the other side. If I can find the other antler I probably will get them mounted. I took a digiscoped picture of a very large buck about 1 3/4 miles from where I found this shed, but I do not think its from the same buck.

    Huge Coues

Thanks for the replies. I had a December tag this year and spent the whole hunt chasing the buck below that I found last year (sorry it is a little blurry, it was my first attemp at digiscoping). It was a tough hunt and I could never find him during the 10 days spent behind the 15's. I tagged out on a fork horn the last 1/2 hour of light on New Years eve and found this shed while getting into shooting position. I like to eat them almost as much as I would like to take one over 110"!!

    Mexico sheds

Looks like you have a special place down there. I was excited finding one shed that would go over 50" I can not imagine a whole pile in one outing!! Best of luck.
