Are these still available? Excuse my ignorance. Are these HD’s? I’m trying to figure out how to tell the difference. I see guys talk about light green vs green and serial numbers etc. what info are they gathering with the colors and serial numbers? Thank you!

Wanting to purchase a bolt action hunting rifle. Preferably a Ruger American/Ruger American Predator (new are about $420) but other comparable rifles would also work. The budget for this rifle is going to be around the $400 mark with or without scope/rings. With some of the Savage Axis, Thompson Centers Compass coming with entry level scopes for less than the $400 range I’m open to options or suggestions. Thank you in advance for information. Will be for a new hunter.
