Dilemma, how would you deal with this??
tucrats replied to fatfootdoc's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Your childrens safety comes first! I would just put in on seperate apps with the same hunts, maybe change the order and hope for the best or just tell him straight up. It will cause a lot of termoil but it must be talked about, your true feelings and your concern for your childrens safety must be addressed. my .02 jimmya -

Well where can I start? First off this year I was on a hunt by myself, really sucks, but I just had to keep pushing. After the first four days of nothing but does, I was about to just give up! On the fith day a very good friend of mine Steve took me out to a differnt area to show me more possabilities. I took the next day off and was still down and out about not seeing any bucks. So Yesturday I get up and head out anyway. The wind was horrible and I found myself getting very discouraged and really wanting to give up. However I did not. I decided to give one more chance at glassing this hillside and as soon as I was walking to get a better view, he jumped! I watched as he climbed the hillside and bedding down. Now I made my move! I have no idea how far it was but it felt like forever trying to stalk. I finally got close enough and was not sure if he had already busted me and ran. So I sat for about fifteen minutes and then decided to try to get closer, BAM!! Busted me, So I went straight for my rifle and now Iknow what BUCK FEVER is. I missed high, missed low, missed left, missed right then finally BAM, Got him. All I could do was yell "YEAH". It sure was hard getting him out by myself and all my gear, it felt like hours! Well I will never hunt by myself again! Thanks Terry (25.06), Steve, Rob and everyone else who would not let me give up even though I was alone! I will try to load a pic!

I will have 25.06 load some pic's by tonight!

That is some food for thought. I'm sure it does help anyway.

I know someone who has done just that, however, his son had the junor hunt, his cousin and three friends had the first october hunt and is going on the next hunt himself. So the camp has been empty now and then but has been used by two other hunting parties and one still yet to come. So don't you think some times a case like this would be alright? jimmya
