    Birthdays

And, although Casey is 6 foot plus, plus and a sturdy football player, I'll accept his wishes, as well as the others. Thanks. Casey, I am in Flagstaff currently through the 14th.
  5. I just wanted to share a couple of pictures of my friend's first bull. I called it to 12 yards, he made the shot, and the bull only went about 50 yards. It was a great time! http://www.drchoate.com/images/upload/ccbull_1.jpg http://www.drchoate.com/images/upload/ccbull_2.jpg Enjoy,
  6. az4life, I am unsure if you are looking for gender or brand. So, I was using cow calls and I use strictly Primos calls: hyper lip and imperial/sentry reed calls.
  7. Allen, He bugled, and I knew he was coming, but it all happened so fast I never saw the bull or even knew he was that close already. I heard the bow fire, and was totally surprised. Thanks,
  8. Awesome, thanks for sharing.
  9. I am curious about everyone's arrow speed. I am shooting an arrow at 260 fps from a bow with an IBO rating of 306 fps. Setup: Buckskin by Reflex 28" draw ~64 pounds (I don't have a scale handy) Whisker Biscuit rest Easton Axis:@ 26 1/4"; Blazer vanes; 100 grain Muzzy w/release Thanks, Darren
  10. I'm guessing ~195-200. Great buck!
  11. Becker, I would definitely be interested, if it fits into my busy work and hunting schedule. Thanks,
  12. I do not believe this is true. From page 64 of the online PDF. AZGF Regulations state: R12-4-318 section C2 "An individual participating in an "archery only" season shall use and posess only a bow and arrow as prescribed in R12-4-304, and shall not use or possess any other weapons, including crossbows or any other bows with a device that holds the bow in a drawn position, except as authorized by R12-4-216." R12-4-216 is a special authorization for the use of a crossbow. I do not know if having a concealed carry permit would authorize a hunter to carry a handgun. Hope that helps. I would verify from AZGF though.

    Arrow Speed

Thanks everyone; you helped me make a few decisions. I knew I was really always shooting a draw length that was a little too long. I shortened the draw to 27", cut the arrow back a little, and turned the bow to 65 LBS. I am now shooting ~250+. Thanks,

    Help out akid?

I received the same email last year, and I know of an outfitter that received the same message this year. It may be some kind of hoax.
