one more suggestion you might consider in addition to the many great ones above, we used to tent camp on cold weather hunts (before we got our camper😁) and used a nylon tent with rain fly similar to yours. I went to home depot and bought several of those water heater blankets, the silvery ones that are insulated, and draped them beneath the rain fly as well as clipped them to 3 sides of the tent. looked a little like a hoopty space vehicle that crashed, but with the buddy heater, the reflective heat inside of the tent made it very warm. good luck on your hunt goma

grew up there. pics above are beautiful, remind me of the landscape in Maine, NH and western MA. the timing to see the fall colors always changed by a week or two depending on the first freeze, temps, but your time frame is right. left that part of the country 43yrs ago at tender age of 21. visit it every couple of years. if you get back there, look for some of the few remaining small dairy farms. many make there own "end of season" ice cream with local apples, pumpkin, etc. goma

I drive down bush hwy most days during the week and see lots of people out kayaking, padlebding fishing etc. saguaro looks empty in fact I often see a sheriff vehicle parked at the entrance to the marina. If I had to guess, they will open it up by memorial day for the tubing season (revenue), but that is just a guess. regards goma

here is a fuzzy shot taken sept. 9th last year about 630pm. I was a passenger in by brother in laws can am so it's not the greatest. if you enlarge the pic you can see the goat. we were pacing him along the tree line in the back about 200 or so yards out. this was south of the stoneman lake road exit into 6A. aside from that I also followed a pair in 5bs (basically across the street) on my quad in early Oct. last fall while scouting for deer. Managed to stay behind them about 250-300 yards as they criss-crossed a fire road I was on for about a mile. They would stop when they felt far enough ahead, usually at the edge of a field/grass area, mill around until I got closer and then would dart back through the trees up until the next field/opening. I've seen numerous antelope thoughout the past few years in both units. regards goma

Hard to tell from the first pic, but is that a 4in suction nozzle you are using? seems a bit shallow for a power jet setup. looks like a good area. reminds me of the sierras in n.cal many years ago. regards goma

I bought a Vankey on amazon. It holds a phone width from 2.12-3.54 inches. my phone is a samsung A10. it also worked for my previous phone an LGG3. not the most expensive but pretty versatile. good luck regards goma

small camper for sale. 3400.00 1 1/2 years old, built last spring for a Montana trip and used for camping and hunting. built on tractor supply trailer 8ft by 5ft, dry weight under 800lbs. can be towed by small truck or suv. fully insulated too many pic's to load here but available on request. comes with 100watt Renogy solar panel, inverter and 12v battery. lighting inside and out as well as plug in 12v chargers and 2 usb chargers. spare tire incl. New tires, buddy bearings all lights work 1 7/8 hitch. wife "insisted" we upgrade to one of the lightweight toy haulers. going on CL friday. always garaged, we live in an HOA that doesn't want to see anything except vehicles in the driveway, nothing in the side yard etc. goma

I have the amazon Renogy-Mono as well. They also have a poly version, more durable but not as efficient. With extended leads to the inverter so I could just lay it on top of my little teardrop style camper it ran about 180 overall. The 10 ft extender leads are like extension cords so you can position the panel however you want. I use 30dollar walmart car battery which can be fully charged from below50% in 4-5 hours. Runs all of my lights, usb ports etc. I've read where the Harbor Freight kit is not nearly as good as the amazon one but have not compared them. good luck goma

was up north of clints well doing a little pre-season scouting. chilly morning but t-shirt weather when hiking mid day, beautiful weather. the turkey hunters are in full swing. I was interested in deer, spotted a young muley, at first look, thought it to be a doe, but zoomed in better and lo and behold a young spike. couple of pic's of the youngster below. if you have a chance to get out, it's beautiful out there right now. regards goma

I was using my 7yr old LG android to view micro sd cards. just put it into the slot, wade around until it shows a dcim folder and presto. I would carry spare batteries for it as sometimes I'd get 1000's of pics from a wind moving blade of grass etc. Just upgraded my recent LGG3 (4 1/2 years old) last week so will use the newer one the same way. Had to pop the back of the phone off, but it is just an old mini computer now, still takes good pic's I can down load etc. My new samsung doesn't let me change the battery (without a technician) but that is a beef for another thread. If you have an older pone, play around with it, I'll bet you can find the pic's goma

Was in 6A this past weekend helping my bro in law with his elk archery hunt. took pics below about 630pm while setting back making cow calls hoping to lure in bull.(another story for another thread). At any rate, a line of about 20 or so trotted along past me about 40yards out. Next morning ran into many more hiking through the woods about 5am a mile or so south. Bill Back Park area. goma

My wife and I saw something similar to this 3 years ago up at Knoll lake area. Looked a bit larger as it ran through campgrounds about 50yds from us, not all that concerned. It also could be a "coy-wolf" hybrid. They are having issues with them back east as they are moving west. My brother shot one 4-5 years ago in Maine, walked right by him. Sent me a pic. (on my old phone) so I'll see if I can recover it, but basically a large 50lbish coyote with a wolf like snout, and head. good luck goma

Has anyone (or perhaps how many of you) have started backing out of your driveway in the morning on the way to work and nearly run over these? I should have had another cup of coffee this morning before leaving, luckily I looked beck instead of just left and right as I heard the dogs going nuts barking, and there they were. goma
