Berger does not recommend their Hybrid line or their Target line of bullets for use on Game. That is the company position as of yesterday. They recommend using only their VLD HUNTING bullets be used on Game.

Best thing I can tell you is to look at lots of pictures. My rule is Big bucks look big. You will know when you see a really big one. You won't have any Questions. The bucks in the picture of this post are what I call good ones and would tell you to shot them if you see any that size. They however are not what I mean by Big bucks look big. Coues rarely field dress over 90 pounds and most won't go more than 75 to 80 pounds. Good luck to you and have a good hunt.

Forest Service or Topo?

And most all suck beyond 400 yards

Dead chicken Hawks don't kill anymore chickens. I believe in the death penalty, I guess that makes me old school too.

Like the Jury is still out

It is your 20 MOA base or a base problem. Your scope is higher in the rear than the front. Seen this on old Ruger-77s when rings reversed

I hope that is some kind of joke there Mr. Mark

If you don't mind bloodshot meat with normal weight bullets and heavy for caliber bullets that don't expand at long range. They are nothing more than match grade varmit bullets with a different name. But lots of folks shoot them, and like ground round a ruined capes as well.

Bergers are target bullets, who do you think Walt Berger is; Benchrest Shooter.

ThomC Best reply so far.

I didn't define anything. You did. You can shoot but can you hit your target or just dirt. When you lose one you will know the limit.

KC people been wildcatting the 308 for years. You got sucked in to the old this is a great: manufactures game to sell more stuff. Long Range Pursuit sucked you in to the long range game to boot. Quite watching TV and wishing you could play with the big dogs. Little short short boy

Im not gone. Just reading your posts. Some are not to bad and some idiotic. Shooting at long range has even been comented on by AZGF in the regs but I am sure you all don't read those other than to pick a unit.

If you want to know about your Luger go to the internet and type in: German Luger Dates of Manufacture. You will find: Date of Manufacture for a DWM Luger by Jon C. Still. Click on the March 2012 update and have some fun. There are also several other sites listed with lots of info, enough to keep you busy the rest of the day. You most likely have a carry back from wwII or one of the thousands imported there after. Pay particular attention to the sections concerning proof marks as they can tell you some particulars. Have Fun

The picture of ammo and magazine show 22 long rifle and a 25-auto cartridges. If you would show a picture of the other side of the slide and the top you could most likely show the 25 auto markings. You could also show a picture of the muzzle with the two different bullet ends on top,You could also pull the slide off and look at the barrel markings.Colt didn't make that pistol in 22- WRF. The numbers are any ones guess as to what they are except for the ones on top of the Luger ; Those are assembly markings and should appear in several places unless the pistol was assembled using mis-matched parts. Hope this helps put this to bed.
