It’s part of hunting.That’s why we do it. A week after the hunt you will convince yourself the pack out wasn’t that bad. Lmao. I did a heavy coues buck packed out whole as my father in law wanted to cook the ribs. So I did gutless method. Legs and back held up good. Went though 3 canyons non issue. Hardest part was being able to see the truck and having to drop down in the last canyon.

From experience if you haven’t broke it out during scouting trips you may consider leaving it in the truck during the hunt. Although lopes are nuts! I spent all day putting a stalk in a decent buck and he busted. I sat down an put my tripod up to glass and he came back to me at 30 yds. I made the mistake of ranging him. He dusted me after that
