  1. You are trying to twist words to fit your narrative, so I will explain it again. CAPAZ is the group that has to do the work for Game and Fish to be able to auction or raffle tags. They have never claimed they would posses the tags. Really isn't that difficult to understand, and if you cant grasp the concept, you are in no position to even begin to think you can take on a political powerhouse like HSUS.
  2. the strategy employed by CAPAZ has been thoroughly explained. But we reached out to over 20,000 hunters in this State and got a handful of active volunteers. Perhaps you should do some self reflections on your own contributions instead of trying to find fault with the group that bailed us out. I sat through the meeting and took notes. I do not understand how CAPAZ is funded (maybe I missed that portion) Also, it was mentioned by CAPAZ Dignitaries that you only put your strategy together for the tags two weeks ago. So if you could tell me or point me to web site where CAPAZ shows where they will get the money for the political battles?Im not a member of CAPAZ, but I somewhat addressed that question in the above post.
  3. lots of good ideas on this thread already. Lets get those thoughts clarified on paper, pick a person to present them and lets get moving. I tend to agree with the auction tags. But I will definitely set my thoughts on that aside if we have a better way. lots of good ideas on this thread already. But I will definitely set my thoughts on that aside if we have a better way.Agreed there are a lot of good ideas already in this thread but I'm still trying to get an answer on how the proposed auction tag idea from the CAP guys would work when 100% of the monies generated from these tags would go back to the G&F. Since you tend to agree with auction tags can you answer for me?The proposed auction tag money would not be handled by CAPAZ. This would be handled by Game and Fish to do the kind of education not allowed by Pittman Robertson. The political funds would be handled by CAPAZ, and not come from autions or raffles. Thanks for the reply I but that didn't answer my question. How are the political funds that are to be handled by the CAPAZ going to be raised? If none of the money generated from these auction tags is going to the CAPAZ political funds then why are the tags needed by the CAPAZ in the first place? CAPAZ doesn't need the tags. An outside group has to petition the legislation for Game and Fish to be able ti do what they need to do. As far as funding for the political side of CAPAZ, thats why they are a 501c (4). So big donors can donate without exposing themselves to radical groups like HSUS.

  6. HSUS is working with a couple radical groups in Arizona, like DxE and the Earthlings Experience. If you are not familiar with the Earthlings Experience, the guy that had the bullhorn at the Game and Fish expo is the Tucson leader. He wanted to fight me in downtown Tucson. Then he changed his mind.
  7. when i tell you guys that HSUS is looking for a fight,I mean it. Not just the political side. An actual fist fight. They tried it with me. Lets get laced up and give it to them. We have a solid group of people that hit the streets. But first we need to put our collective heads together and get passed this in fighting. I will hit the streets with you.

  9. I do not speak for any outfitter, nor do I speak for CAPAZ. But I'm definitely down to kick some anti's in the nuts.
  10. some of it may. But the majority of those banquet dollars go into habitat projects. These groups are already cash strapped, and have several projects that need to be funded. We can't rely on banquet dollars to do this.
  11. I know it didnt come from that. My point exactly.... You dont need auction tags to make the money happen. My money supports AZFGD thru purchasing my license and tags. If that isn't enuf something is f'ed with the system. There are a few suggestions that would make the same amount and lose no tags. All thru AZGFD without tag loss. it's been clarified multiple times on this thread. Game and Fish is limited in the types of education they can do with Pittman Robertson funds. If auction tags aren't the answer, cool. I dig it. But time is running out to enter this legislative session to get things done.
  12. I think you need some perspective. Number one, I'm not rich (yet) and number 2, this money didn't come from tags and licenses. This misinformation is what is going to prevent this conversation from progressing.
  13. and how much of that was your money? The spotlight is on you now, Toby. Let's hear your contributions to the fight.
  14. Allow me to introduce myself to the group. My name is Dustin. I was extremely involved in the grass roots campaign that was fought against HSUS.I personally went to several signature gathering events, protests, etc.I filmed many violations. I had AFW strategize to get me arrested in their private meetings, and they called the cops on me at least 4 times in their attempt. I am in a unique position to provide answers and insight on many things that occurred during the fight. You can view some of my footage at my youtube channel called Nefarious Red. One thing I can assure you of, CAPAZ absolutely put their money where their mouth is. You can deny it all you want, but at the end of the day, we all owe them a thank you. Another thing you can be assured of,is HSUS will be back. In fact they never left. If auction tags isn't the answer, then let's work on finding the answer. Just know that every idea is not going to pan out. It isn't a personal thing. But if we fail to unify the sportsmen of this State, we will lose hunting.
