AZGFD Dec 7th Commission Meeting - Education Funding
Nefarious Red replied to stanley's topic in The Campfire
I listened very intently to Sasha Howell. She is incredibly smart and fully understands marketing. She said that she wants to "get bold" with our message, and make it very clear who actually is in charge of wildlife conservation in Arizona, and how the system operates. I am unaware of the company's political affiliation. However, the campaign is ultimately under the control of the Department, and they were hired to do the Departments bidding. Off Madison doesn't have free reign to say what they want. Part of the plan is to redirect funds from those groups that we would consider birkenstock wearing lefties, and to the Department. Those were her words. (Minus the birkenstock wearing lefties part) -
AZGFD Dec 7th Commission Meeting - Education Funding

The Department provides the oversight. The company they have hired is called Off Madison Ave. Sasha Howell gave a wonderful and inspiring presentation during the September 21st Commission meeting. Off Madison has already been representing the current campaign that these funds will support. The Commission also provided some direction to Off Madison during that meeting, and according to Sasha, "the handcuffs are off", and we will soon see some more media messaging that is favorable to hunters and the Department. -
Many of us have been banned from that page for quite a while. It is ran by an HSUS former employee named Kristina Meredith. She likes to answer her own questions. Another good anti page to troll is Amurs of the Russian Far East.

Webcast tonight regarding the "Education" funding
Nefarious Red replied to bonecollector's topic in The Campfire
The public input period is open. There is a link to the Department email address that is accepting ideas on the Game and Fish website. They will present these ideas to the Commission after the public input period closes in 30 days. Many of you have ideas for funding, now is the time to submit them to the Department. -
I'm not sure about that, but I'll definitely help you eat it.
-
They had previously voted to form the committee, the telephone meeting you are referencing is when they were to select committee members. During the telephone meeting, they opted instead to have the Department handle the committee. So yes, it was formed with only Department members.
-
Ringer, they voted to not form the committee of sportsmen and turn the committee over to the Department. The Department will do a presentation on the 9th of August and open up for public comment.
-
They kicked it back to the department to form the committee. From there, they will go through 2 rounds of public comments. I'm not sure if the department will issue their recommendations first or the public will be able to submit recommendations first, but you should be able to submit comments within a few weeks. Nothing is off the table, as the department will review all recommendations and then make a decision.

Yep, clearly shows they spearheaded the effort... look they're even promoting hunters go find and kill animals on their own! Where's the posts on that page prior to the reg passing, speaking out against cameras and saying they are pushing for it? who said they spearheaded the effort? You have a fallacious style of arguing, kind of like a woman. This post merely demonstrated how the Nevada trail camera ban was supported by anti hunters.

Funny you should say that.

Looking for a hunting/scouting partner in north 34a
Nefarious Red replied to broadhead's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
I'm right next to you in Sahuarita. I know 34a, 36a, 36b really well. Send me a p.m. if you want to talk about or go out in any of them. -
I really wish someone from the Department would have shown up today and gave input on what they are willing to consider for ideas. I also wish the Department would have submitted recommendations 9 months ago when they petitioned the Commission for funding. Someone in the Department knows what they can and cannot, or at least not willing to do. Give us some guidance.

I call b.s. I'd probably "accidentally trip and fall" on an arrow. But good luck anyways.

At this point me and Ringer are just trolling each other. No harm done.

Ringers getting paranoid....
