    Unit 17 Muzzy Bull

Congratulations! So 152 yds is exactly what I am hoping for out of my muzzleloader in Nov. and am not quite there. Could I ask a little about your setup? Ammo, scope etc? Way to go. Sounds like you guys took everything you're supposed to out of a hunt. Joe

    How to Squirrel Hunt?

The biggest key I have found is to pretend you are not squirrel hunting. Those little rats with tails are everywhere when you aren't hunting them. Truth be told one of the best ways I know is to slowly walk old logging roads right at first light. I know some good areas in 6a where your boy could get some lead in the air. I don't know where you are planning to go but send me a message if you'd like. That's right I'm giving up squirrel honey holes! Joe

    Let the saving BEGIN!!!

Home Insurance has been reduced by many carriers in Maricopa and Coconino County FYI. Find a way to get the Swaro's buddy. I actually think Coues deer are created by looking through them. It's almost cheating.

    Field judging methods

I would like to urge soazarcher to chime in on this topic. He seems to have the uncanny ability to get within a few inches for his clients and friends before they make a decision. That's only for the folks that want to know a score, which is veryfew of the folks on this site, which I have to commend. Usually he just tells me "I'd shoot him" and a loud noise ensues.

Awesome! We all love coues deer here, but I think it's safe to say most of us would trade in our tag for a Safari!! Congratulations and thanks for the pictures. How bout some stories?
  7. I am looking forward to coming and meeting everyone. I know almost none of you. Although Doug I do from TR Taxidermy!! Doug I would like to offer something for the raffle. Are you the one with info on what's already donated? If not if someone could PM me I'd love to help out. Not much of a poster but love the site, even if it's hard to think about how long till we're back at it. Joe

I have heard that for the hogs only it's not that easy. They end up in the mesquite thickets a lot etc. The buffalo and the stags are another story. A lot like shooting cattle probably.

    Mess of Carp!

I know those deer too! You may have company hunting them. I have spoken to a handful of anxious archers talking about them. FYI

Backpacking Tripod for sitting and shooting off

I have the Slik Pro Mini with the Outdoorsman head, it's a great setup. The pistol grip swivels straight down to provide a great rest. I never had to move when I found a buck last year. Just my .02

    Generator for sale

Is it quiet? I have been planning on buying a Honda 2500 because I don't think I need that much juice, but if it is really quiet I may take it off your hands.

    Unit 27 in NM

I just visited McCall Idaho. What a beautiful place! Fishing was incredible. Just curious, how do count points up there? Cause down here a 4 point would be quite a trophy. We count only one side when conveying how many points a deer has, or if the sides are different a 3x4 etc. I just read your post and was curious. Hopefully you do find one with 4 on each side and shoot him! Good luck.
