  1. Just want to let anyone who is going up north the sheriffs will give you a ticket if you are not street legal and on a maintained road. This joker couldnt even give us a warning. I had the ohv sticker but he asked for registration and insurance. So now i have 1 ticket for each. I know most officers will give a warning but we got an ahole. Hopefully we can get it thrown out since i am spending the weekend putting on horns rearview mirrors and license plate light. Going on late monday to register for street legal plates. I havent wanted to punch someone in the face for a long time. I could have understood if we were driving like idiots or something. Anyway had to rant a little. I have friends that are officers and they said the tickets were a total joke. Just beware even if you are on dirt you can get a ticket.

This is getting stupid. There are pictures of me on here look at them. i will be at the deer Banquet. Feel free to come up and give me your opinion face to face this banging back and forth on the computer is a joke. I cant believe their are such morons that don't have the common courtesy to read a post and not write down something stupid. Like "Break the law pay the consequences" You guys are a complete joke. I'm sure if you got these tickets you would offer him to go to dinner or something. And a couple of you I thought were decent, since you are friends with a couple buddies of mine have changed that image completely. You failed to miss the simple point of me NOT KNOWING! And for the state when you register your atv they should not give you the option of an rv plate. It should just be mc plates. We just got these atv last year for my dads sheep hunt. I am new to these laws. I was not looking for sympathy, actually when I posted this dang thing I didnt even want a reply. But no, someone has to try and ruffle feathers. tell ya what here is my pic. Come up and say hi and give me your opinions. I seriously doubt some of these things would be said face to face. As for me I will not be back on this site for a long time. maybe never. You guys just dont get it. Just because something is posted doesn't mean you have to open your mouth. Sometimes just shut up and read the interior message of the post. Whish was. "dang I GOT THESE TICKETS> THIS SUCKS I DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS> SO IF YOU ARE READING IT AND DO NOT HAVE YOUR EQUIPMENT WITH MC PLATES AND INSURANCE THIS COULD HAPPEN TO YOU!" Not for you guys to try and smack my hands with the ruler and say bad boy go sit in the corner. LATER wont be back. You guys pissed me off!

here-here TAM. It's not like it's a new law. You can bet your bottom dollar that 10 outta 10 folks that sheriff stops know they are breaking the law, and are hoping they wont get caught... or if they do get caught - they are planning to talk their way out of it. That's gotta get old to listen to as an officer of the law. We have camped in areas that have been SO ravaged by jag-offs who think the forest is their playground, dump, litter box, dirt track... I was glad to hear steps were being taken to protect the forest... that enforcement and action has to be paid for through license fees and violations - not warnings. If I got caught - and I have tried to fly under the radar a few times b4 I got my bikes licensed and insured - I'd take what they gave me, and take it quietly... rather than point out what a weener the sheriff was. I would much more enjoy reading about how someone, for no apparent reason, was were rudely confronted while obeying all the laws and rules... because of the uncalled for treatment the person being mistreated felt obliged to tell the officer to piss-up-a-tree... and there wasnt a darn thing he could do about it. I'm sure all the guys that said this sort of reply would feel differently if they were in the situation. If I knew I was in violation, I would have never been, because I would have did this mc plate before. I understood that all we needed was an OHV sticker and we were good to go. So dont tell me this garbage about taking it. Now I'm starting to get pissed off because people want to jump on the bandwagon. To the other post, that said enforce the law. Ya thats great. But I myself thought it was a waste of time. So you are telling me as being self employed having to take a day off of work in my busy season to drive up to flagstaff and sit in a court is worth it. Come on. A warning would have resulted in the same action I have taken all week with getting these bikes ready. Most of you guys dont know me. If you did you probably wouldnt say the things you are saying. I consider myself a nice guy and try to be cordial. I am sure that if this happened to one of YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS your comments would not be the same. And if it would be then you are a jackass also. I would never say some of the remarks made that some of you have to any of you in this situation. Everyone is big behind the keyboard though.

I am disrespecting the profession. I have been on many ride alongs when I was young and have friends who now are officers. And I do know they have a job to do. But their is a fine line which someone in this line of work may walk. I for sure did nothing out of the ordinary (speeding) reckless driving or anything else but drive down the road. The officer also said in the area over the last year they had given out warnings. I replied that it was new to me which it was and I would comply as soon as I got home. I even offered to park the quads walk back to the truck and bring the trailer up tp pick them up. He said no matter what we said we were getting citations. And I thought that was a total joke. And that officer is an butt. Needless to say we found a similar story back at the store from someone else. I do not have a problem with the law just that I would have done this before we went riding if I had known. John, First let me say that I am sorry that you got those tickets I am very aware of the cost involved if they indeed make you pay the fine. I have bolded two of your statements above, so as to make a point.... First, there are jerks in every profession, but that does not make all the people in the profession bad or the profession itself a bad. You were handed the law by a guy who may be a jerk, or maybe had a bad day, but either way he didn't know you from Adam and can only assume that you are just like the rest of people that he deals with on a day to day basis that plead "ignorance" and hope that it lands them a free-pass.... and repeat the process next time. Now, I am in no way saying that was your intention, but if you did that guy's job for one weekend you might have a new perspective on the "ignorance routine" from the OHV riders. I have owned Wheelers for many/many years and have always understood that if I was not legal and got caught it was going to cost me about $1500.00 in fines, therefore we have been paying insurance and registration all these years and I have never been pulled over.... Knock on Wood! Having had 100% Legal OHV's all these years does not really allow me to be anymore sympathetic than your new friend at the County Sheriff's Office.... I am sorry but "not knowing" is not a defense. Was the guy a jerk for not just give you a warning??? ...well probably, but he also was "just doing his job", either way... warning or ticket. So.... I know you are now pissed at my opinion.... which is not really what I wanted to do but hacking on the the "Profession" because you were ignorant of the law is really just wrong.... ...and for the record I hope you get out of paying the registration and insurance tickets. Thanks so do I. I wish for these atv issues for people that DO NOT know or read the az traffic law book and know every detail of every law they had some type of warning system. Give me a warning if I do not comply cite me. Basically I am just hoping I get through this without having to take a day off work and drive up to flag. Which will hurt me just as much as the fines. And by the way, I said the guy was an butt because I am 35 years old and when someone talks to me like I am 7 it really pisses me off. Hopefully you get my drift on that one. And here is the bottom line now I am compliant. Cool. But anyone else that has to go through this it will suck. Hopefully no one that reads this will. Which is why I started the post. Also the funny thing is on my street I have 1 K-9 offficer 1 sheriff and 1 city of phoenix detective. and our neighbors who go to the dunes test their atvs and motorcycles every time up and down the street before a trip. No one cares.

This wqas in 6a. Well from what I was told by the officer is that you have to have an mc plate which you do, horn which ou do, mirror which you do, and insurance. Sounds like all you need is insurance. I just got done putting all that stuff on I also wired in a license plate light. Now One question when you did your registration did you have to go through emissions? I am taking the bikes in tomorrow so I was just wondering. I just hope they will drop the tickets down. they are very very expensive.

    Seasonal Differences on Hunt Success

I have a feeling we will all see the bad outcome of all these tags this year in the field. With the same tag #'s basically the coues deer will be in really bad shape down south over the next 5 years. Those numbers are staggering. You cant tell me you can take that many extra deer out of the herd and they be okay.

    Mandatory Success Reporting

The biggest problem with the way it is now is that they HAVE changed hunts due to these survey cards. So if it isnt mandatory then you might as well pick a number out of a hat to guess the harvest. It does matter when you base your archery hunt structures on them!

    Mandatory Success Reporting

1000% yes I think once it was in place it would be great. I do not see any negative reasons for not doing it. It would be a great tool.

Big Bull in The Mornin Big Bull in the mornin with eyes open wide Arises from his bed antlers swaying side to side Big Bull in the mornin whose breath glows in the air He has but one job 20 cows to his care Big Bull in the mornin one thing is upon his mind Today he's Mr. Smooth with love on his mind With a B&C rack on top of his head A legend in his own Like many a man has said With one sweet sound He's comin your way He's the Big Daddy and he's lookin to play And now the time has come to keep it all together Been sayin all your life never say never Big Bull in the mornin stops and stands still With the release of the arrow your bones tingle with chill Big Bull in the mornin has now crashed to the ground Big daddy has fallen and the beast is finally down The moral of this story is to get the job done But in the end to have a whole lot of fun Sorry to say Big Daddy lives on. This was dedicated to my buddy Jim's elk hunt this year and we came close but no cigar.

    Poetic fun

May your arrows fly true and your bullets fly straight I've learned better to go Than stay home and wait It's the call of the hunt That keeps us burning inside With visions of mountains And valleys so wide This year has come to a close With freezers being filled Some with crazy dumb luck Others with captivating skill So however you have spent This entirely short year Whether chasing elk pigs Or the bitsy Coues deer Hopefully you have found A new passion or friend One that will stay true And see you through till the end Of this next year we will buy New trinkets and toys As thought to be men and women We are but little girls and boys A new bow a new rifle A new rod a new reel Or polish the old one To give it that lost feel For why I hunt I cannot begin to explain For me it eases my mind And takes away the pain What pain could this be? I know you want to ask It's that dang 110" buck That disappeared into the grass! Happy holidays from the Noble Family
