This is such F-ing BS I hope none of our ant permits get drawn since this is our first choice. We hunted there with my brother a few years ago when they closed it off. And then last year they said they reached a new agreement to have it stay open. Everyone that out in for 19b ant should have the chance to redo their application if this is the case. Not that you can predict an antelope tag but I do not want my app in for that unit if it is closed cause it SUCKS when it is closed.

Went out and had a couple hours to hunt after work. Glassed them up at 5:02 and hustled my butt off. Coming off the nasty mountain after dark stunk, but awesome at the same time.

Need Help Deciding Which HD Camcorder to Buy!
jnobleinaz replied to monstercoues's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
I bought the sony hdr xr150 this year and love it. Very very easy to use and for digiscoping makes it really easy. -
Well I had a great hunt with my brother Richard and Bret (GTT). I had only this weekend to hunt because the week after christmas I was to be all alone, also work is crammed for the last week of the year for me. We found over 20 bucks in 3 days. I couldnt pass up this buck, the situation was perfect but I had to make a longer shot than I would like. I need an angle range finder since the shot was 501 yards it took a few missed high shots to figure out that 330 yards was the mark. He broke a couple tines rolling down the nasty mountain. Luckily he stayed around for me. Enjoy [ attachment=29156:20101209162450_1_.jpg][ a ttachment=29158:20101210092415_2_.jpg]

Whatever the shooter is comfortable with is the best rule. Nobody's perfect. Every situation is different, terrain, weather, rest, adrenalin, etc. All the same rules with archery apply to rifles, except it is even worse with archery equipment when you do not have the energy factor. I missed my buck high clean a couple times this year mostly due to angle compensation. But my kill shot was clean through the boiler. I could not get closer and had a great rest, felt solid, and took the shot. If this makes me an amateur oh well. I can shoot pretty good though.

I am very sorry to hear that. I love my dogs too and hopefully you have had good memories with him.

Nitto's and Toyos, bfgs are great the bfg sidewall is prob the best out there. I just did the same thing you are right now all the homework myself. I went with the bfg at in the end, but i wanted the nitto trail grappler but it wasnt available in the size i needed. Got good snow and mud work on them last weekend. I wanted the km2's but did not want to have to rotate them every 3000 miles. The hankooks have only a 2 ply sidewall, so do the goodyear duratracs. -

Thanks guys. I was also glad to be packing out at night with lower temps. I am having him mounted. After talking to my buddy Bret Prentice who helped me on my hunt and my taxidermist. He is my first archery bull and wire will be intact, we are not taking it off.
