    Bowtech: Allegiance or Tribute?

My brother has the Allegiance and I have the Tribute I got them off ebay and didnt care which one was what. They both are deadly at long yardage. Huge difference from my older 99 pse carrera. I think any of the new bows are leaps and bounds over old tec. Cant go wrong either way. The allegiance with smooth mods shoots as fast as the tribute with fast mods.
  3. Heres some pics of my friend Steve and his daughter Brittany on her 42 junior hunt also my 2 girls having fun. The dates are wrong on the pics I'm sure you have had that happen before.

    Scent elimination

Depends on what I'm hunting for. In wisconsin bowhunting whitetails it is pretty crucial. For elk I will wash either in baking soda or the unscented soap. I have spray I use in the field but I think the best thing is if you dont have a scent suit to leave your clothing in a tree or sage bush (whatever is around your hunt area weather permitting). I also use those base layers to absorb sweat. I have had animals walk right past me. Who knows of that stuff really works but I do make sure not to use regular deodorant. Last year on my cowhunt we almost had a bull walk right over us we had to move to get his attention. Pretty cool

C/W member says his card got hit

I agree to a extent. My brother and I drew archery bull tags in either 2 quality units and I have two friends that also drew. the only difference is I had a cow tag last year and they haven't been drawn for 10 years. But saying that there are a lot of people out there that put in for once in a lifetime tags every year and then complain about not being drawn. I drew an antelope tag last year but it was muzzleloader. I am now putting in for archery only. I drew an early rifle tag in 03 and a strip tag in 03. I haven't put in for either since. That was a total once in a million year. Now I just plan on maybe drawing a tag every few years. But I have been very lucky. I just think that you choose your own game and play the odds. But don't complain if you are applying for these crazy tags. my wife thinks that this is normal to draw tags every year. But we did draw 36b late hunt last year so I know I have nothing to complain about. i will continue to play odds. It's like a friend of mine (no lie) who when we were in Laughlin 13 years ago started playing roulette with 100 dollars and by the end of a six hour turn he walked out with $13,000.00. Don't ask me why I didn't follow his bets. They were fricken crazy. After seeing that I believe anything is possible.......... just remember we are all Redneks just looking for a vacation

My brother and I both got hit for archery bull tags and our dad got another rifle bull tag. His 4th elk tag since 03. My 3rd since then. two of my other friends got hit for archery bull also.

    Leveling Kit vs. Lift Kit

I have an 06 f250 and I went with a leveling kit. It all depends on what you are doing with the vehicle. My truck rides the same as before the leveling kit. Lift kits make the ride a lot stiffer. Also this was through the advice of a friend who owns a tire shop with the same truck as mine.

    Muzzle Breaks

I was wondering if you were at Ben Avery on saturday? I was there from 10-1 or so. I was in slot 21. I was shooting a .270 with a muzzle brake on it. I have had it on that rifle for 6 years. I also have an old shoulder injury from football in 91. A seperated shoulder that has nagged me for years. I also have 2 daughters, and when they are able to hunt it is the rifle they will use. It shoots like a .223. I also have a .300 win mag. I only shoot that at the range before a hunt or when in the field. I use a sandbag behind the stock for that one. Anyway if you were there on sunday and saw me you noticed I am not a small guy so there is your answer. Also it makes shooting a lot more fun when you don't get sore. I am pretty sure you were there and you should have asked me at the range since I have never met anyone else with a brake on a 270. Thanks John
